Winter has finally hit Korea, and the Christmas season is upon us. The team at Dojeon has narrowed down our café of the month for this magical festive month - December. This magical café has an eclectic mix of traditional Korean architecture and a salt pond! Read on to find out more!
In a mega city such as Seoul, there is no shortage of cozy cafe's to choose from, however, Soha Salt Café offers both cozy and photogenic, leaving its guests feeling satisfied and warm on a cold winter day.
One thing that I also need to mention is the beautiful décor. The café's design incorporates elements of salt seamlessly integrated into the design. While you can take it away, I strongly recommend sitting in and experiencing the beauty of this destination café if you have the time. The layout, although a little small, is worth sharing and experiencing.
Something that stands out about this café is the outstanding customer service, as the servers use your name as personalization, similar to a high street chain, although it is more genuine. On top of this, the extensive menu will leave you wanting to come back for more, as it did for me!
I have visited this café several times, and I still am yet to try everything on the menu!
This bread item though has to be one of my favorites for sure, it has a soft crisp texture on the outside and a soft and buttery texture on the inside with a slight hint of saltiness. Mmmm, yum!
The bread had a light crisp texture on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside with a hint of saltiness. I also really enjoyed the milk cream salt bread as it was packed will milk cream and so I could experience sweetness and saltiness at the same time.
Inside the café, there is a special section where you can taste a selection of crafted drinks such as an iced salted chocolate, which leaves an enhanced hint of saltiness and an elevated taste of chocolate. This added a luxurious and smooth texture which I was surprised I liked.
