Lights, camera, pose! With all the K-pop idols becoming global ambassadors to fashion powerhouses these days, it's about time people get to know the little guys/gals. Hosted and organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, this year's Seoul Fashion Week will be held this week from March 15 - March 19 with a series of special events! Here's what you need to know!
Seoul Fashion Week is a bi-annual series of global fashion events held in March and October of every year. This year's event features a "Seoul Collection" and "Generation Next".
Seoul Collection
This collection features a series of top Korean designers hosting a fashion show which started in 2000. This collection has become the most distinguished collection among all the growing Korean fashion industries.
Generation Next
'Generation Next' is dedicated to fostering up-and-coming Korean designers within one to seven years in the industry. It gives these designers a platform to showcase their creativity and uniqueness to the world.
Highlights
This five-day fashion week event will be held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). There will be a tradeshow for designers and visitors alike and will feature brands like GREEDILOUS, #whysocerealz!, and VEGAN TIGER. Click here for the highlights of the week!
K-POP Stars Show Out!
Just a day into the event and K-pop stars have been showing up gracing the walkways! VIVIZ showed up in cute outfits and stood around to take pictures!
NewJeans showed up looking stunning in more earth-tone colors. They're also featured in the Seoul Fashion Week poster!
