Set to release on Friday, September 29 at 1 PM KST/ 0 AM ET, Jungkook's new single "3D" featuring rapper/singer Jack Harlow has got everyone hyped! HYBE released a 10-second teaser yesterday and it has already garnered over 1 million views!

According to HYBE, "3D" will be a R&B track about someone yearning to be with someone they cannot be with. Jungkook released the surprise announcement a the end of the "2023 Global Citizen Festival" where he performed "Euphoria", "Still With You", and "Seven" among other BTS favorites "Dynamite", "Permission to Dance", and "Butter".

Who is this "new" Jungkook?

With the new trend of K-pop artists collaborating with their Western counterparts, we couldn't help but draw attention to the new type of music Jungkook is coming out with! With his new single "Seven" topping Billboard's Hot 100 at number 1, it seems like the BTS boys have entered into the next stage of their lives. For example, "Seven" consists of both a "clean" version and an "explicit" version where Jungkook speaks about doing sexually explicit things using profanity throughout the song.

Another example would be his other single with Charlie Puth "Left And Right" which addressed a past relationship he is no longer involved with but shows that he is over her by the song's cheerful and upbeat melodies. "Left And Right" shows Jungkook's emotionally mature side which we can definitely support!

Following up with his next collaboration with Jack Harlow, who himself, is also breaking stereotypes as a white rapper. Much of Harlow's music involves progressiveness in race and challenging cultural appropriation in a genre dominated by African Americans. By collaborating with a Grammy-nominated artist willing to challenge the norm, Jungkook is definitely showing signs of maturity in both his music and personality!
