- "Tastefully Yours" SHOCKS Everyone! The Reason Behind Its Record-Breaking Success Will Surprise You!
Could THIS be the reason? Tastefully Yours unexpectedly crushes the competition! Let's discover why this hot, trending drama is taking over! Image: Tastefully Yours - Photo: Still Netflix Tastefully Yours has come a long way since its release on OTT platforms. During its initial release, it held a disappointing one percent of viewership (1.6% according to Nielsen Korea); however, that was not going to be for long. The drama has now risen to the top and is now dominating global OTT rankings. So what is happening? Why the sudden change? This culinary drama has now overtaken other much-loved trending dramas such as tvN's Resident Playbook and JTBC's Heavenly Ever After. It reached viewership ratings of 3.1% in Seoul and 3.3% nationwide. The Dojeon team thinks that is pretty impressive! Image: Tastefully Yours - Photo: Still from Netflix Top tier cast Image: Tastefully Yours Cast - Photo: Google search Another reason why this drama has gained its rightful place at the top of the viewership charts is due to its top-tier cast. Go Min Si can bring her emotional depths and versatility when it comes to playing various roles, and Kang Ha Neul is a well-established actor who is often highly sought after by casting directors for K-dramas. Song Ji Hyo is also a beloved household name actress, and after her leading role in the show Running Man , she became a favorite to star in this drama. Cha Joo Young, known for her impactful and captivating roles in acclaimed dramas such as The Glory and The Spies Who Loved Me , Cha Joo Young has demonstrated a powerful on-screen presence. Lee Ki Taek is an actor gaining increasing recognition, and his developing talent suggests a potential for significant leading roles in the future. While Kim Yu Hwan , a potentially newer face to some, has made appearances in dramas like Bad Prosecutor and has upcoming projects, indicating a growing presence in the industry. His inclusion in a cast brings a fresh and dynamic element to a production. Interest in Korean food Global interest in Korean food in recent years has also been said to boost the show's ratings. This is due to traditional Korean cuisine being at the heart of the show, with entertainment and strong storytelling throughout in order to make it more engaging for the viewer. Similar things happened with Extraordinary Attorney Woo , where gimbap took on a global food trend after the show's release, since it was prominent and featured heavily throughout the drama. Fan reactions We previously wrote about fans of the show loving the chemistry between Kang Ha Neul and Go Min Si , due to the unspoken edge-of-your-seat tension between them, however, that's not all! Their dynamic journey from opposition to affection serves as a metaphor for growth, healing, and emotional nourishment. This culinary love story did not follow the social norms of the typical Cinderella love story, and in fact, adapted its unique style to take this drama to the next level, which made it easy to watch! Image: Tastefully Yours - Photo: Still from Netflix Our Thoughts Kang Ha Neul provides a great sense of humor and adds comic relief. In addition, Go Min Si also plays her role really well too, delivering countless laughs to viewers of the show. However, the top scene stealers have to be awarded to Yoo Su Bin and Kim Shin Rok who give off great chemistry throughout the show. The two complimentary characters add a layer of nerdy charm and look back moments that we can really relate to! We're curious if the show will lead to a further season!? New episodes of Tastefully Yours will air every Monday and Tuesday on Genie TV (Korea) and Netflix for international fans at 10:00 PM KST. What has been your best moment of Tastefully Yours ? - 6 Male-Driven K-Dramas Deserve a Spot on Your Watchlist!
The official solo posters for Weak Hero Class 1 and D.P. (Image via Netflix). Many men often argue that K-dramas revolve too much around love and romance, leaving little room for male-centric narratives. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. While it's true that K-dramas have traditionally highlighted women's stories—featuring brilliant, well-rounded female leads—there has been a noticeable shift over the years. A growing number of K-dramas now spotlight compelling stories driven by all-male casts, often with minimal or no romantic subplots. These dramas explore the challenges men face across various stages of life, delving into societal pressures, personal growth, and the bonds of brotherhood. They're a perfect recommendation for anyone, especially men, looking to explore K-dramas beyond the typical rom-com fare. 1. Weak Hero Class 1 & 2 The official poster for Weak Hero Class (Image via Netflix) This Netflix hit is a gripping coming-of-age story centered around a young male cast, including Park Ji Hoon , Choi Hyun Wook , Lee Jun Young , Hong Kyung , Ryeoun , Yoo Su Bin , Choi Min Young , and Lee Min Jae . Tackling intense themes such as school bullying, hazing, and revenge, the drama masterfully blends emotional depth with action-thriller elements. When Yeon Si Eun (played by Park Ji Hoon ), a quiet and seemingly timid student, decides to stand up to his bullies, he unexpectedly inspires others to join him. Packed with raw emotion and powerful performances, Weak Hero is a compelling watch that transcends the typical high school drama. 2. D.P. (Deserter Pursuit) 1 & 2 The official poster for D.P. (Image via Netflix). Another standout on Netflix, D.P. is a gritty military-action thriller that pulls back the curtain on the harsh realities of South Korea’s mandatory military service . Starring Jung Hae In , Koo Kyo Hwan , and Son Suk Ku , the series follows a special unit tasked with capturing deserters—soldiers who’ve fled due to extreme bullying, brutal hazing, and mental strain. It’s a raw and unflinching look at the “survival of the fittest” mentality within the military, where those who can’t endure are either broken or cast aside. Emotionally heavy and at times hard to watch, D.P. is one of the most underrated dramas in its genre , and absolutely worth watching! 3. Racket Boys (2021) The official poster for Racket Boys (Image via SBS) Racket Boys is one of the most heartwarming coming-of-age stories in K-drama, centered around a group of 16-year-old boys and the challenges faced by their high school badminton club. While there are notable female characters, the narrative primarily focuses on the boys’ passion, determination, and growth, both as athletes and individuals. Blending humor, teamwork, and emotional depth, Racket Boys is an inspiring, feel-good sports drama that captures the spirit of youth and perseverance. 4. Prison Playbook The official poster for Prison Playbook (Image via tvN). It’s almost hard to believe that this dark comedy-thriller comes from the same screenwriter behind the beloved Reply series . Prison Playbook offers a fresh, unexpectedly moving take on life behind bars. The story follows Kim Je Hyuk ( Park Hae Soo ), a once-celebrated baseball player who is convicted of assault after defending his sister from a sexual attacker. Inside prison, he encounters a range of unique characters—fellow inmates, duty officers, and their loved ones. Among them is his high school best friend, Lee Joon Ho ( Jung Kyung Ho ), now an elite prison guard assigned to the very facility where Je Hyuk is incarcerated. With its sharp writing, layered characters, and exceptional performances, Prison Playbook is a standout drama that balances humor and heartbreak with surprising finesse. 5. Misaeng: Incomplete Life (2014) The official poster for Misaeng: Incomplete Life (Image via tvN). Im Si Wan proves himself as one of Korea’s most underrated idol-turned-actors in Misaeng: Incomplete Life —a standout among workplace K-dramas. While the show features a few important female characters, it’s largely driven by a stellar male ensemble cast including Kang Ha Neul , Kim Dae Myung , Park Hae Joon , and Byun Yo Han —the crème de la crème of the Korean acting world. The series delves deep into the harsh realities of corporate life, exploring office politics, toxic work culture , and personal ambition, all framed through the lens of the traditional Korean board game, baduk (Go). Realistic, emotionally resonant, and sharply written, Misaeng is a must-watch for anyone interested in character-driven storytelling within a corporate setting. 6. Hot Stove League (2019) The official poster for Hot Stove League (Image via SBS). Hot Stove League is a refreshing sports drama that shifts the spotlight from athletes to the unsung heroes working behind the scenes. Rather than glorifying the sport or its stars, the series focuses on the management and strategy that drive a struggling baseball team toward success. The story centers on Baek Seung Soo ( Namkoong Min ), the newly appointed general manager of the fictional team "Dreams", which has consistently ranked last in the league for four consecutive years. Tasked with turning the team around, Baek Seung Soo brings a bold, unconventional approach to leadership. Also starring Park Eun Bin , Oh Jung Se , and Jo Byeong Kyu , Hot Stove League is an inspiring and intelligently written drama that honors the hard work and vision of those who make sports victories possible. All of these male-centric dramas are available on popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+. Which one is your favorite? - SEVENTEEN "Thunder" Official MV | Behind the Scenes With Dojeon!
K-pop group Seventeen is set to mark a striking return to the K-pop stage with their new title track “THUNDER" , as part of their brand new full-length album HAPPY BURSTDAY ! We take you behind the scenes of their new single! Image: Official SEVENTEEN Thunder M/V - Photo: K-ennews.com What is the song about? The infamous title track “ THUNDER ” is said to compare the members' journey of expanding their individual worlds to thunder and lightning, which helps to symbolize their transformation into unique, talented artists. A great thing about this new track is that it was co-written and composed by Woozi , the group’s lead producer, and Bumzu , with member S.Coups . Image: Official SEVENTEEN "Thunder" M/V - Photo: K-ennews.com This new title track is part of SEVENTEENS' 5th studio album, HAPPY BURSTDAY . Since it's the band's ten year anniversary, it focuses on the members' rebirth and expansion of their own worlds as unique artists. This is demonstrated through the powerful imagery of thunder and lightning as a metaphor. Behind the Scenes of "Thunder" Dojeon Media's Lewis was fortunate to work as an extra on this incredible music video for SEVENTEEN ! Despite the long hours (around 18 hours), it was an awesome experience! The set was a club scene theme, and each level of detail that went into creating the ambiance of the set, even down to where the cups were placed on the tables, was highly thought out to the smallest detail. Image: SEVENTEEN "Thunder" BTS - Photos: Lewis Hooper Working on a music video as an extra, you get to interact with the stars directly, and I have to say they look exactly as they do on their posters and in their videos. They were all very friendly the whole time as well, which was great! On the day, there were so many people, from the band themselves to stylists, a wardrobe team, production, and around 100 extras, so it was a fast-paced set and a big production! Image: SEVENTEEN Thunder Official Teaser 2 - Photo: YouTube - HYBE Labels. I also thought that it was very impressive with the creative and visual dynamics which were used, through to the various angles and cuts which were shot that day, as it took a lot of time setting up the camera in various positions and repeating the same scene. The 3-minute music video from an 18-hour shoot is a testament to the painstaking art of filmmaking and editing that is done before the final edited version of the video is released to audiences. It highlights the vast difference between the raw material, which is shot on site, to the polished, snappy editing, though thankfully I made a very short appearance in the video as seen in the picture above. Let's check out the official teaser number two! Official Music Video for Thunder The powerful and catchy melodies and airy vocals feel familiar, which allows fans to easily feel a connection to the song. Having the intense EDM sound also helps to create an overall electrifying feeling. Lyrics mentioned include phrases like "the phone keeps ringing like lightning" and "it keeps tingling like lightning" , suggesting a powerful and perhaps sudden impact. This grows more addictive as "Thunder" develops, climaxing in a fantastic dance break toward the song’s finale, which, for me, is a reason why this song will be on repeat! - 6 Must-See Female-Led Dramas That Will Keep You Hooked!
The official posters for Little Women and Thirty-Nine (Image via Netflix). K-dramas are often associated with romantic love stories, but their appeal goes far beyond just romance. They have long celebrated deeply human narratives, stories of friendship, family bonds, resilience in the face of adversity, healing from trauma, and living with grief. Among the most underrated yet powerful genres is female-centric storytelling . These dramas shine a spotlight on the strength, complexity, and beauty of women's lives, celebrating sisterhood, female friendships, and the unbreakable bond between women. Here, we highlight six standout K-dramas that put women at the heart of the story, with minimal to no romance, and instead focus on empowerment, connection, and the many facets of womanhood. 1. Little Women (2022) The official poster for Little Women (Image via tvN). While not a direct adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, Little Women draws inspiration from its themes of sisterhood and resilience. This gripping drama follows three sisters—Oh In Joo ( Kim Go Eun ), Oh In Kyung ( Nam Ji Hyun ), and Oh In Hye ( Park Ji Hu )—as they become entangled in a high-stakes battle against Korea’s wealthiest and most powerful family. With corruption, mystery, and revenge at its core, the series is a suspenseful and emotional journey that ultimately celebrates the strength of familial bonds and the unshakeable connection between sisters. 2. Thirty-Nine (2022) The official poster for Thirty-Nine (Image via JTBC). Trust Korean dramas to beautifully portray the lives of unmarried women in their late thirties—living, thriving, and rediscovering themselves with grace and depth. Thirty-Nine , a remake of the Chinese drama Nothing But Forty tailored to Korean sensibilities, follows three lifelong friends, played by Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do , and Kim Ji Hyun , as they navigate the final year of their thirties. The series delves into themes of friendship, ageing, love, and the societal expectations surrounding marriage and motherhood. With heartfelt conversations, emotional nuance, and mature storytelling, Thirty-Nine is a poignant celebration of womanhood, growth, and embracing life at every stage. 3. A Virtuous Business (2024) The official poster for A Virtuous Business (Image via JTBC). Another standout remake, A Virtuous Business is the Korean adaptation of the 2016 British drama Brief Encounters , brought to life with a uniquely Korean flair and a delightfully mischievous twist. Set in 1990s Korea, the drama follows four “ Bangpan sisters ” who boldly step into the unconventional world of selling adult products. What makes this series truly special is its fearless storytelling: it features middle-aged women as the leads—a rarity in itself—tackles the taboo topic of female sexuality with humor and heart, and champions the message of financial independence for women at any age. Bold, empowering, and refreshingly honest, A Virtuous Business is a must-watch gem that breaks norms while celebrating womanhood. 4. Queenmaker (2023) The official poster for Queenmaker (Image via Netflix). Women are often told they're too emotional for politics, but Queenmaker flips that narrative on its head. This compelling political drama centres on two formidable women: Hwang Do Hee ( Kim Hee Ae ), a brilliant image-maker for a powerful conglomerate, and Oh Kyung Sook ( Moon So Ri ), a passionate human rights lawyer. When Do Hee walks away from her corporate role to manage Kyung Sook’s campaign for Seoul’s mayoral election, the result is a gripping story of ambition, integrity, and sisterhood in the face of power. With razor-sharp writing, excellent direction, and powerhouse performances from two veteran actresses, Queenmaker is a triumph—bold, timely, and led by women who command the screen with strength and purpose. 5. Agency (2023) The official poster for Agency (Image via JTBC). We all know the stereotypes about ambitious, career-driven women, but Agency smashes them with style and substance. Go Ah In ( Lee Bo Young) is a fierce, no-nonsense creative director leading Production Team 2 at VC Planning, the country's top advertising agency. But she’s not stopping there—her sights are set on the very top. Relentless, strategic, and unapologetically ambitious, Ah In is a woman who knows her worth and refuses to settle for less. This sharp and compelling drama dives deep into workplace politics, gender dynamics, and the complexities of power, especially when it’s claimed by women. Agency is an empowering, intelligent watch that unapologetically celebrates women who lead. 6. Be Melodramatic (2019) The official poster for Be Melodramatic (Image via JTBC). True to its title, Be Melodramatic is a tender, heartfelt exploration of life, love, and friendship in your thirties. The series follows three women navigating the everyday messiness of adulthood with honesty and humour. Chun Woo Hee stars as Lim Jin Joo, a rookie screenwriter picking up the pieces after a painful breakup; Jeon Yeo Been plays Lee Eun Jung, a documentary director silently battling grief after the sudden loss of her boyfriend; and Han Ji Eun portrays Hwang Han Joo, a hardworking marketing team leader juggling the demands of her career and life as a single mother. With its thoughtful storytelling, gentle humor, and emotionally nuanced characters, Be Melodramatic is a beautifully understated drama that celebrates the strength and vulnerability of female friendship. All of the above-mentioned dramas are available on Netflix. Which one are you planning to watch next? June will welcome the final season of the globally loved Squid Game series, season three! We break down what to expect and what fans are anticipating! Image: Squid Game Montage - Custom Image by Yailin Chacon - Screenrant.com The countdown has already begun! Squid Game season 3 is the final season in the series, and will premiere on June 27, 2025, picking right up where season 2 left off! Are you ready for the ultimate showdown? This final season aims to deliver a thrilling conclusion, and to achieve this, the budget is staggering! It is said to be ₩100 billion (roughly USD 68.62 million). Here's our question: Will the game spare any survivors? Netflix has released its official trailer, so let's take a look at what we can expect in the games! Plot twists (*Spoilers!) Season three aims to show a side of vengeance and an attempt to dismantle the deadly games once and for all. This all comes as part of the continuation of Gi Hun's ( Lee Jung Jae ) fight, as we saw in seasons 1 and 2. This would not be complete without trying to confront the Front Man ( Lee Byung Hun ). The unresolved conflict that has escalated between Gi Hun and the Front Man, will be the central point of the plot for season 3, and a clash is expected to be on the cards with his former friend. Will this lead us to the truth? Gi Hun is still unaware that Young Il is the Front Man of the games, and the revelation of this will for sure be a significant part in season 3, adding conflict, betrayal, and disbelief. Characters fate Will there be new players in the new series? As the games will continue, season 3 will feature new players in a bid to share their desperate stories and motivations behind their desire to join the deadly games. We can expect to see a more brutal side of the games, and if you noticed at the end of season 2 in the credits, there was a small statue of a giant boy , which suggests a darker, more bloody version of Red Light Green Light in the upcoming series. New Boy Statue introduced at the end of Season 2 (Credits: Netflix) Hwang Jun Ho ( Wi Ha Joon ) is also set to return, despite previously being shot by his brother, who was the Front Man back in season 1. Of course, in season 2 confirmed that Hwang Jun Ho survived the fatal fall, thanks to a ship's captain. Fans of the show are hoping to see him continue to investigate and hopefully reunite with Gi Hun to finally expose the deadly games once and for all, though the dynamic with his brother will also play a key element, we are sure. What do you think? Themes and Tone The aim of the game is of course to survive mortality, which the players strive for. The new series will strive to push the players bid for survival under the immense pressure that they see themselves in. It does make for a good TV show, however we can't help but feel a sense of sadness watching the desperation on the players' faces. This final season will be emotional as its the final season, the expectations on finding out about the conclusion of Gi Hun's rollercoaster story should hopefully all come to and end. Given that seasons 2 and 3 were filmed back to back, the writers must have a clear direction and vision of what the story will conclude, fans around the world have been anticipating the end to the Squid Game franchise, so let's see what some of the fans are saying; Dojeon readers, brace yourselves for the final, high-stakes games when Squid Game Season 3 which premieres on June 27th, 2025. - NewJeans Face 1 Billion Won Bill for Unauthorized Moves by ADOR
Costly ruling: NewJeans (NJZ) faces a 1 billion won (USD 724,000) penalty for unauthorized activity! What happened, how did fans react, and what does the future of NewJeans look like? Image: New Jeans ADOR 2025 Photo: Koreaboo A court in Seoul has ruled that each NewJeans member must pay ADOR 1 billion won which works out around $725,000 USD to each unauthorized entertainment activity which is conducted without prior approval to ADOR , while their legal battle is on going. This has come into effect since the legal battle between NewJeans and ADOR has taken a dramatic turn, and ADORs plea for indirect control has been answered. If this because of their financial influence? Some think that this sets the stage for a really high stakes showdown in the court room, especially as NewJeans faces crippling financial penalties for every step taken out of line. What do you think? To avoid disaster, the latest ruling is not aimed as a weapon against the members as it means that NewJeans escapes a potentially ruinous multi-billion won debt for the activities they've pursued since their defiant contract termination announcement. But we will have to wait for more until the second court ruling on June 5th. Image: New Jeans - Photo:by Theodore So, where has this come from? Last November, NewJeans held an emergency press conference and stated that they were stepping down and terminating their exclusive contracts with ADOR, and therefore began taking on their activities, and came up with the new name NJZ . As a resu lt, ADOR filed an emergency injunction with the court to preserve the agency's contracts and status, which prohibited the girls from advertising and using NewJeans songs, names, among other things. The court ruled that NewJeans members should not engage in entertainment activities on their own or through third parties without prior approval or consent from ADOR. How Did Fans React? Our thoughts The Dojeon Media team strongly agrees that the girls should not use the NewJeans name while going through court proceedings, as the name is exclusive to the record label ADOR. To be honest, since the girls acted out of line holding YouTube press conferences with little to no warning, it shows that NewJeans might be in over their heads with ADOR with its highly informed legal team. Not to mention they wanted to reinstate the former head of ADOR after she was ousted, causing every attempt to gain attention from the public with brining up their up and down relationship with CEO of ADOR Min Hee Jin . That said, the amount that have the court ruled seems to be a tremendous amount, although it could reflect what the members are earning with their music and band name, which is pretty impressive. It seems like the brand "NewJeans" has a bleak future as every action the group decides to make is met with dire consequences. What do you think of this latest ruling? Is it fair to NewJeans? - 6 K-Dramas That Will Feed Your Soul and Your Screen
The official poster for Let's Eat (Image via tvN). K-dramas and food share a beautifully symbiotic relationship—one that fans know and love. From sizzling street snacks to cozy home-cooked meals, Korean dramas are packed with mouthwatering moments that make you wish you could reach through the screen and grab a crispy cheese corn dog or a steaming bowl of ramyeon . But in many food-centric K-dramas , the dishes do more than just tempt your taste buds—they bring people together. Whether it’s helping two strangers fall in love, rekindling the flame between exes, or offering comfort in times of heartache, food often plays the perfect supporting role. As the saying goes, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach —and in the world of K-dramas, food is also the key to every fan’s heart. Here are six K-dramas that not only feed your soul, but also your screens. Tastefully Yours (2025) The official poster for Tastefully Yours (Image via Channel ENA). Starring Kang Ha Neul and Go Min Si is the charming, cutesy rom-com you didn’t know you needed. It checks all the right boxes: a food-centric storyline—check. Enemies-to-lovers trope—check. Endless bickering with simmering chemistry—check. Heartfelt moments and swoon-worthy feels—check. A potential love triangle (hello, Yoo Yeon Seok )—check. And of course—mouthwatering food scenes—check. Light, fun, and irresistibly refreshing, Tastefully Yours is a delightful watch that serves up romance right in the heart of the culinary world. A Business Proposal (2022) The official poster for A Business Proposal (Image via SBS). What happens when a blind date unexpectedly introduces you to the love of your life… who also turns out to be your boss? That’s exactly the whirlwind romance that unfolds in A Business Proposal , where a quirky twist of fate brings together Shin Ha Ri ( Kim Se Jeong ), a food researcher, and Kang Tae Mu ( Ahn Hyo Seop ), the charismatic CEO of GO Food. Food plays a charming role in their love story—it sparks their connection, deepens their bond, and ultimately brings them closer. One standout moment? Shin Ha Ri gently teaches Kang Tae Mu how to properly chew his food, a symbolic gesture urging him to slow down, savour life, and embrace things one bite at a time. 3. Itaewon Class (2020) The official poster for Itaewon Class (Image via JTBC). Itaewon Class breaks away from the typical food-romance formula—instead, food becomes a powerful tool for revenge and redemption. When Park Sae Ro Yi ( Park Seo Joon ) loses his father in a tragic incident caused by Jang Geun Won ( Ahn Bo Hyun ), the entitled son of Jangga Group’s founder Jang Dae Hee ( Yoo Jae Myung ), he vows to take down the corrupt conglomerate. His weapon of choice? A humble bar-restaurant called DanBam. Through food, Park Sae Ro Yi builds not just a business but a movement, challenging injustice, climbing the social ladder, and reclaiming his pride and dignity. Itaewon Class is a must-watch: gritty, inspiring, and a bold reminder that success, much like a good meal, is best served with passion and purpose. 4. Chocolate (2019) The official poster for Chocolate (Image via JTBC). This is an underrated gem that deserves far more recognition. Starring Yoon Kye Sang , Ha Ji Won, Jang Seung Jo, Teo Yoo, and Min Jin Woong, this poignant drama delicately weaves together love, loss, and healing through the power of food. Lee Kang ( Yoon Kye Sang ), once a boy helping at his mother’s seaside restaurant in Wando, grows up to become a neurosurgeon in Seoul, chasing a life of stability and success. Moon Cha Yeong ( Ha Ji Won ), raised with dreams of becoming an actress, chooses instead the quiet, nurturing path of a chef, though she, too, carries deep emotional wounds. In Chocolate , food is not just about nourishment or romance—it becomes a profound vehicle for healing, memory, and emotional connection. Much like its title, the drama is sweet, bitter, dark, and comforting all at once. A tender, reflective series that lingers with you long after the final episode. Wok Of Love (2018) The official poster for Wok Of Love (Image via SBS). Wok of Love is like the perfect Chinese dish—spicy, savory, tangy, tantalizing, and deeply satisfying. Starring Lee Jun Ho as Seo Poong, a talented chef with a fiery passion for cooking, the drama brings together an unlikely trio: a bankrupt heiress, Dan Sae Woo ( Jung Ryeo Won ), who’s never experienced life beyond her luxurious bubble, and a former gangster, Doo Chil Sung ( Jang Hyuk ), who’s now trying to turn over a new leaf. Together, they work to revive a struggling Chinese restaurant, bringing not only delicious food to the table but also heart, humor, and a dash of romance. Wok of Love is exciting, engaging, and delightfully entertaining—and the mouthwatering Korean-Chinese dishes featured throughout are reason enough to watch. Pasta (2010) The official poster for Pasta (Image via MBC). Pasta may be one of the most underrated gems in Gong Hyo Jin ’s filmography, but it remains a timeless classic for K-drama and food lovers alike. Starring Gong Hyo Jin as Seo Yoo Kyung and the late Lee Sun Kyun as the fiery head chef, the drama serves up a compelling story of passion, perseverance, and an unlikely romance in the high-pressure world of fine dining. Seo Yoo Kyung dreams of becoming an elite chef, determined to earn the respect of both her customers and colleagues in a male-dominated kitchen. Much like Itaewon Class , Pasta shows that food is more than a livelihood—it’s a path to growth, ambition, self-discovery, and, yes, love. Made with heart, humor, and plenty of flavour, Pasta is a drama worth savoring. Give it a shot—you might just fall in love with it.
