BTS “Arirang” Tour Revenue Could Top $1.8B, Nearly Matching Taylor Swift’s $2B Record!

BTS is about to turn the global stage upside down with their 2026-2027 Arirang World Tour, and the numbers are insane. Analysts say the 82 show 34 city run could rake in up to 2 trillion won, around 1.4 billion dollars, with some projections hitting 1.87 billion when you factor in merch and extra dates. That is practically brushing shoulders with Taylor Swift, whose Eras Tour pulled in 2.07 billion over 149 shows.

Other big tours for comparison? Coldplay made 1.52 billion dollars, Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road brought 939 million dollars, and Ed Sheeran's Mathematics Tour hit 876 million dollars. BTS could nearly match Swift in half the number of shows, talk about efficiency, as per Outlook.

By the numbers:

  • Shows: 82

  • Cities: 34

  • Fans expected: 5 to 5.2 million

  • Average crowd per show: 64,000

  • Projected revenue: 1.3 billion to 1.87 billion dollars

  • HYBE profit 2026 estimate: 333 million dollars

The tour kicks off April 9, 11, and 12 at South Korea's Goyang Sports Complex and spans four continents. Highlights? Four nights at Los Angeles SoFi Stadium, two at Tokyo Dome, dates at New Jersey MetLife Stadium, London Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and BTS first long run in South America, two nights each in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, plus three nights in Brazil.

Analysts keep upping the hype as new shows are announced. IBK Securities Kim Yu Hyeok predicts 2 trillion won in revenue with 5.22 million attendees averaging 64,000 per show. Hwang Ji won at IM Securities, sees 700 million to 1 billion dollars from tickets plus 346 million dollars in merch. Add the rumored 2027 Japan and Middle East dates, and we are looking at over 100 shows.

A game changer? The 360 degree in the round stage lets more fans see the action without restricted views. And BTS is boosting fan spending with a new ARMY Bomb light stick synced to the tour, a merch must-have.

With these numbers, BTS is not just performing; they are redefining the global concert game. If projections hold, the Arirang World Tour could seriously challenge Swift’s record, proving K-pop is now a heavyweight on the world stage.
