The summer of 2025 is simply one to make history, with thousands of ARMYs and BLINKS among other K-pop fans flocking to the streets of Seoul, making it a K-pop pilgrimage to remember! It's an unforgettable month (June) for the fandom!

Taking over Seoul in their thousands BTS fans are helping Seoul's local economy boom! This can be seen clearly in neighborhoods like Yongsan which is home to HYBE and Myeong-dong which is a K-pop fans heaven, due to the countless number of local market stalls and independent shops selling K-pop merch! The K-pop wave this summer is also helping local restaurants and cafes which are now officially on pilgrimage sites, allowing them to cash in from dedicated fans!



Merchandise sales associated with BTS have also been soaring. At LINE FRIENDS Square in Myeong-dong, new “BT21” merchandise – featuring seven animated characters created in collaboration with BTS and LINE FRIENDS which has been selling out quickly. Which has also helped bigger companies cash in on the tourists that are flocking to Seoul in their tens of thousands.

Recently between June 13 and 14, 2024, over 100,000 eager BTS fans gathered in Seoul's outer district of Goyang for the highly publicized BTS Festa, which also brought in much needed cash to the local economy! Question is, are K-pop fans pricing out locals?



Korea for a long time now has been well known for showcasing the mix of both traditional and modern streets. Seoul is no exception as Koras mega city! The streets of Seoul are now a dynamic hub for K-pop lovers on their quest to find K-pop success in their idols footsteps!


The city of Seoul also encourages tourists to transform into Korean culture like locals at many pilgrimage sites, as remember K-pop is loved by native Koreans as well, although in more recent times BTS and BLACKPINK have gained more success globally rather than in Korea, hence the in flock of foreign tourists to Korea.


This also helps fans immerse themselves into Korean culture helping the success of K-pop tourism, which has been said to reshape many of Seoul's commercial districts.
