- BTS Rewrites History: The Gwanghwamun Square Setlist That Just Shattered Every Record
Seoul’s iconic landmark was transformed into a neon-soaked masterpiece—and the surprise tracks nobody saw coming are officially breaking the internet. Here are the must knows! BTS at Gwanghwamun Square - Credit: Bighit BTS officially reclaimed their throne at the top of the K-pop industry charts with a historic live-streamed performance watched by millions worldwide. Their highly anticipated comeback performance turned the very heart of Seoul into a global stage. This performance marked their first performance as a full group post-military service. Their ARIRANG comeback proved that the icons are back and more powerful than ever. Let's take a deep dive into their set list. The Setlist The team at Dojeon Media absolutely loved their comeback setlist! Right from the moment the BTS members walked out on stage, the energy was amazing! The high-energy set opened with their brand-new live debut of "Body to Body," followed by a string of high-energy new hits including "Hooligan," "2.0," "Aliens," "FYA," "SWIM," "Like Animals," and "NORMAL " . This moment was, of course, all about promoting their brand-new album to the world, and what a way to go about it! A clever move was, of course, to add in their classic global anthems. "Butter," "MIC Drop," "Dynamite," and a deeply sentimental closing of "Mikrokosmos" saw the entire square illuminated in purple in the name of ARMY. This set list was simply awesome! Why These Songs? The set list was incredible; the question for Dojeon Media that stands out is: why these songs? Actually, the tracks that were selected from their new album ARIRANG were chosen to promote the "BTS 2.0" era. BTS 2.0 is set to blend traditional Korean motifs with a slightly more modern identity. By pairing these experimental new sounds with record-breaking English hits, the group bridged their storied past with a bold, redefined future, especially in the saturated market of K-pop. The Dojeon Media team also believes that by pairing these experimental tracks to a live audience for the first time, alongside their already well-known English hits, it allows the group to bridge their past stories with a more redefined and grown-up future. For us, each track felt intentionally chosen to reflect their journey from their rookie days to global cultural ambassadors, whom the entire world knows! The fact that they used Gwanghwamun as a symbolic backdrop is simply iconic. The Visual Spectacle The visual spectacle at the standalone show was out of this world. The Dojeon team really loved the open cube stage design, which made sure that Gwanghwamun Gate remained the focal point of the show. Also, we loved the fact that the backdrop framed the members against centuries of Korean history, as it also served as a landmark as well. The fact that such a large-scale performance in the center of Seoul happened really just shows the high-tech blend of old and new. The setlist amplified this atmosphere by timing the heavy hip-hop beats of "Hooligan" and "2.0" to strobe lighting that synced with the Gyeongbokgung architecture, which just looked magical. During the closing of "Mikrokosmos," the song's soaring melody provided the perfect emotional ending for the thousands of ARMY as the sky was painted purple. ARMY Reaction Global ARMY, many of whom attended the show themselves, got to experience a once-in-a-lifetime show. 18.4 million viewers tuned in worldwide on Netflix , while the lucky ones who managed to snatch up a ticket got to light the square full of purple lights. Social media also exploded with emotional tributes, with fans praising the group's unwavering chemistry and the symbolic "King's Path" entrance from Gyeongbok Palace. Final Thoughts This comeback show was more than an ordinary concert. It was, in fact, a cultural and iconic comeback show that very few bands or performers ever get to experience. BTS BTS remains the definitive voice of a generation for many young Koreans and global fans. As the purple lights faded over Seoul, one thing was clear—the wait was long, but the return was legendary, and we cannot wait to see how their world tour turns out later this year! What was your favourite track from their set list? Comment below and let the Dojeon Media team know! #BTS #GwanghwamunSquareLive #SeoulLegacy #NeonNirvana #EternalEchoes #BeyondTheScene

- BTS: The Untold Truth Behind Their Global Rise
From near-bankruptcy to music history, we have the secrets you never knew about the Bangtan Boys! BTS - Credit: https://altselection.ouest-france.fr The Bangtan Revolution The globally successful boy band BTS rose from a nearly bankrupt agency. At the time, the agency prioritized raw vulnerability over the standard "perfect idol" factory model. Their journey from shared dorms to the United Nations redefined what it means to be a global pop icon in the digital age, and thanks to BTS , Korea has become a must-visit destination. The Underdog Narrative and Big Hit’s Gamble Going back to the start, where there was simply a lack of funds for traditional TV promotions, Big Hit Entertainment focused its promotion on social media. Social media allowed them to showcase never-before-seen moments of the group's more human side and unpolished look. This underdog position that Big Hit used actually created a deep, tight bond with the youth generation, who were all over social media. In the past, many fans felt ignored by mainstream media, though social media allowed fans to feel connected to their favorite bands and members. This allowed BTS and their management to cash in on the latest trends while spending very little. This really has helped them with their global rise! The BTS Universe BTS really has utilized an intricate multi-platform narrative. From music videos and books to merchandise and livestreaming, casual listeners and fans have turned into dedicated investigators and serial streamers. This "BTS Universe" fostered long-term intellectual engagement and a sense of shared mystery among the global fanbase. This really has helped them with their global rise and global fame, while at the same time being able to promote K-culture and Korea worldwide. Cultural Diplomacy and Soft Power BTS has been able to fully transition from wannabe musicians into global cultural ambassadors. Thanks to their remarkable work, they have contributed billions to the Korean economy—it has been reported that around $5 billion annually—and they have even been invited to speak at the United Nations (UN) . BTS really have been able to prove that language is no longer a barrier to entry when it comes to the world's most influential movements. Their 2026 "Arirang" world tour is projected to generate nearly $2 billion in revenue, proving their unmatched ability to drive global tourism and international interest in Korean culture. The Digital Age of Social Media BTS has spoken out directly to their fans through livestreaming and unedited YouTube logs, which have then been shared on other SNS accounts, including X. These unedited videos have allowed them to gain an instant following. Fans have welcomed BTS into their homes at the click of a button, and this is one of the reasons behind their global success. This direct access allowed them to build a massive, borderless digital infrastructure long before Western radio took them seriously. The Dojeon team has also watched some of their livestreaming events, and we agree that the streaming numbers are impressive. Fan Responses BTS's dedicated fanbase, ARMY , is more than just a simple fandom. They are a highly organized global fanbase, which translates content and manages massive campaigns. As 2026 is the historic year of the group's post-service reunion and global tour, ARMY's response proves that the bond between BTS and their fans is rooted in mutual growth, rather than mere celebrity worship, which is found too often. Final Thoughts The Dojeon team firmly believes that the untold truth is that BTS’s success was built on a foundation of radical honesty and a symbiotic relationship with their fans, which made them accessible in every corner of the globe. In 2026, they stand not just as performers, but as the definitive architects of a new, decentralized era of global music. BTS has also proven that the distance between a small agency in Seoul and a stadium in New Jersey can be bridged by nothing more than a shared story and the courage to be vulnerable, which for many K-pop idols today has become easier and easier thanks to BTS's early success. After everything they have given to the world, the Dojeon team does wonder: in a music industry often obsessed with fleeting viral moments, how did seven ordinary men manage to build something so extraordinary that it became a permanent fixture of our collective history?
