  • This café boasts amazing views and cute teddy bears perfect for springtime! Here's our Spring Café of the Month! [April 2025]

Spring is finally here after a long and cold depressing winter. So what better time than to visit Dojeon's café of the month? Filled with delicious treats and drinks with cute little bears, what better way to spend a relaxing cool Spring afternoon at this café? Image: Outside of Teddy's Oven Seoul - Lewis Hooper Teddy's Oven is a picturesque café in Seoul that is perfect for influencers and tourists alike, which is why it has been selected as Dojeon's Café of the Month for April 2025. Teddy's Oven Seoul - Lewis Hooper If you've ever visited Seoul Forest , you might well remember seeing Teddy's Oven on your way. As can be inferred from the cozy building design and café name, the inside of the café and its menus also boast an adorable charm. Every single teddy bear themed dessert menu of Teddy's Oven is delicious, and are also perfect for taking out if you're heading out for a picnic at Seoul Forest. Being a big Harry Potter fan myself, the staircase reminded me of the films I used to watch as a kid, with the magic staircase being shown throughout some of the magical films. It was a sense of nostalgia, and made me feel me want to spend longer in the café. Donning the streets of Seoul, as well as being one of the most popular cafes at Seoul Forest, Teddy's Oven stands out in a light yellow and very pretty two story building. The café is known to specialize in French homestyle baking, and it offers an extensive selection of quiche, pavlova, cookies as well as many more! Right from the offset the luxurious wooden floors and sky blue walls showcased the simplicity yet sophisticated style of this café, making customers feels as if they are inside a European home, or even their own home. It's said that most of the furniture has been imported from Paris, making that European feeling more real. Teddy's Oven Seoul - Lewis Hooper When I visited the caf é , I chose to sit outside because the seating and décor was just amazing and worth being around! The snacks and pastries themselves are actually themed around bears, whether in shape or with an included teddy graham cracker, and there is a bit less emphasis on teddy interior décor than Teddy Beurre House. Blankets are provided for those opting to sit outside as well, which makes this place feel even more special and worth spending a little more on. Being in a prime spot in the mega city of Seoul, the menu items can be a little expensive compared to other coffee shops or cafes in the area, however that said, it is definitely worth a visit. But please note, that on the weekends you can expect long queues, it is though worth the wait! Location: 서울 성동구 서울숲2길 43 (성수동1 가) 1층 | 1F, 43 Seoulsup 2-gil (Seongsu-dong 1-ga), Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Opening Hours: 11:00am - 20:00pm. Will you be heading to this Spring café this month? If so, tag us in your photos! #spring #seoulfoodie #kfoodie #kfood #koreanfood #restaurantofthemonth

  • Forget K-pop Idols: Korea’s Newest Survival Show "Kill It" is Out for Blood!

From BLACKPINK’s Jisoo's sister, Kim Ji-yoon, to TXT’s Yeonjun, Kill It is the fashion-obsessed successor to Project Runway we’ve been waiting for! TV show Kill It - https://www.mk.co.kr/ With K-pop growing faster than ever before, the landscape has started to shift from the more polished performances into a slightly more raw format. A great example of this is with the new TV show Kill It, a survival show that prioritizes industry dominance over stage presence. Here, the traditional trainee theme has gone out the window, and instead, it's replaced by a high-stakes, cutthroat battle. The prize? The ultimate brand supremacy. Let's dive in deeper! The Corporate Meat Grinder Talent or game shows in the past typically focused on individual talent. This new format has really changed the face of game shows. This format forces participants to represent specific labels in a winner-takes-all territory war. The "blood" in the title refers to the ruthless methods companies use as they bet their entire rosters on a single televised victory. The Dojeon Media team really cannot wait to see how this battle plays out! Fan Review K-culture and K-pop fans have been gripped since the moment this show was announced. Some fans on Reddit have responded by saying the following: "Finally, a show that drops the 'we are all friends' act and shows how terrifying the industry actually is." "It’s stressful to watch, but you can’t look away because the stakes for the smaller labels feel so real." The Branding The show's contestants are not just competing for votes. Instead, they are taking on a high-stakes live test that is often used by companies to test the contestants' concepts while at the same time seeing how marketable they really are. The Dojeon Media team is really curious about which "brand" will actually survive the public scrutiny. It’s really fascinating to actually look at how human talent is packaged and discarded in real-time. The show incorporates international streaming metrics as a primary scoring mechanic, forcing labels to appeal to a worldwide audience from day one. Do you think your concept would pass the public vote? Final Thoughts Our team loves how the producers have taken the basic core values from traditional talent and game shows and literally flipped them upside down! This really is a much-needed, refreshed game show that trades hope and inspiration for a much more engaging, unflinching look at desperation. Kill It: Style Creator War premiered on May 12, 2026, on tvN. Will you be tuning in to watch this show?
