Each level is a unique treat for the eyes, decked out with brooms, wands, robes, and endless photo ops that will make you feel like you've just stepped off the Hogwarts Express. Sure, some floors have a few quirky, unexpected decorations—hello, random Christmas stuff! but others, like the grand staircase lined with paintings, are spot-on and perfectly magical. It reminded me of when I went to the Harry Potter Studios in London, and the Harry Potter area at Universal Orlando a few years back. The level of detail was just insane, and I promise you, that it will make for a great stop during our trip to Seoul. Get ready for your close-up, because this place is a photo-op paradise! It's no surprise given Seoul's love for photo booths, but I was genuinely shocked by how many amazing spots there were. They even have full sets of robes and wands for all four houses, so you can transform into a true wizard for your pictures! Just be a good wizard and be mindful of others waiting—you'll get your perfect shot without any of the muggle-like chaos. While the drinks are a little on the pricey side (around ₩7,000-8,000), it's totally worth it and pretty standard for a themed café in Seoul. My friends and I went all out, trying the cheesecake, hot chocolate, Butterbeer, and an alcoholic drink, and everything was absolutely delicious! The hot chocolate and cheesecake were extra adorable with their little chocolate wizard hats—almost too cute to eat! I would say that the Butterbeer is not the same as it is in the US, however, if you do have the option, depending on the time of year that you visit, then for sure you have to try the frozen one, as it is much more creamy and delicious. The event is scheduled to take place on October 25th at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul. The event this year has increased the number of categories on offer for creators and idols to participate in, with the addition of "Creator of the Year" and "Video of the Year". In addition, the new awards will include "Rising Creator of the Year" and "Social Impact Creator of the Year." So there are many more opportunities to win big on the night! The awards will also spotlight K-pop artists with categories like "Artist of the Year" and "Song of the Year." New sections will also be introduced for entertainment, sports, and live music. The question that the Dojeon team is wondering, is who will present them and who will perform there? "I got into BTS during lockdown. I just wanted to understand the lyrics better… now I'm doing a language course in Seoul", laughs Aanya Dhruv, a 22-year-old from Mumbai currently studying at Sogang University. From stanning K-pop idols to studying Korean, the journey is becoming surprisingly common. South Korea’s soft power, packaged through flawless choreo, K-dramas , mukbangs , and minimal skincare , is no longer just a mood. It's motivating Indian millennials and Gen-Z to pack their bags and actually go to Korea. According to statistics from the South Korean Ministry of Education, in 2022, there were approximately 1,328 Indian students enrolled in higher education in Korea, accounting for just 0.8% of Korea’s total international student body of around 166,892.  More recent reports suggest that the Indian student community might be larger: some organizations estimate 1,500 to 3,500 Indian students in Korea during the academic year.  Meanwhile, approximately 12,000 Indians are living in South Korea in total, of whom students comprise a small but growing fraction, as per The Times of India (Indian Media). Kpop Demon Hunters has also helped to elevate K-culture and entertainment and the sequel Kpop Demon Hunters 2 will also have a star-studded cast. Now, there have been fan rumors, that Jennie might either voice the lead character Rumi, or perhaps star as a major inspiration behind her. If these fan rumors are to be true, then this would be another impressive milestone for Jennie! Why would Jennie be a good match? Fans have noticed strong visual and stylistic similarities between Jennie and Rumi, such as their fashion, attitude, and stage presence. Some interviews with the creators added fuel to the rumors when Jennie was mentioned as one of several inspirations for the character. However, director Maggie Kang later clarified that Rumi is not based solely on Jennie, but on a wide range of female artists, both within and outside of K-pop. The Dojeon team however, believe that these comments might have been a cover up, due to strong copyright laws if the character was perhaps based on Jennie. Despite this, some fans however believe Jennie’s image was used to promote the film without her actual involvement, sparking backlash and debate online. As of now, there is no official confirmation that Jennie has been cast in KPop Demon Hunters 2  or that the sequel is even fully in production. The creators maintain that Rumi is a mix of many influences, and Jennie is just one of many artists referenced during the design process. Too Booked for Demon Hunting? Fans, of course, are dubious about whether or not Jennie will become involved in the global hit show, as she might have turned it down, or whether she was never approached in the first place. As of now, Jennie has a packed schedule with music, fashion, and acting, so the US animated film might not bring much more to her career. Other fans have also mentioned that YG Entertainment would be cautious about letting her take on an international voice role without full creative control, which is, of course, common with K-pop labels. On the other hand, some fans have speculated that Jennie may be unaware of the new project, which could lead to this just being a rumor.
