Kim Taehyung, aka BTS's V, is once again proving his global reach, rising to the top tier of social media influence and keeping fans hooked across platforms, as per Allkpop.
New rankings from HypeAuditor place him at number 2 on its list of the most influential creators in the world. He also secured the top position on TikTok under the same criteria, showing his strong hold on the platform.
His Popularity Kept Climbing During Military Service
Even while away from the spotlight, V’s numbers continued to soar. When BTS members launched their personal Instagram accounts in December 2021, they reached one million followers in just 43 minutes. He crossed 10 million in under five hours, earning recognition from Guinness World Records.
Earlier this year, he became the first Korean male celebrity to pass 70 million Instagram followers. His posts consistently draw around 12.5 million likes, showing steady engagement from fans worldwide, competing with global sports icons.
After completing his service, V quickly climbed back into the top ranks. He had earlier placed third globally on Instagram, just behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. With renewed attention around BTS and their upcoming album ARIRANG, he has now moved up to second place.
His TikTok growth tells a similar story. Since opening his account in March, he crossed 10 million followers in just 19 days, setting a new pace among Korean male celebrities. He now has over 12 million followers and continues to gain momentum. V’s influence shows no signs of slowing, whether he is active or away.
