Rhapsody for the Dead: Synopsis

In his new film, Anupam takes on a darker, more complex role. His character Anuat is an exorcist haunted by guilt and secrets, who meets Soo-Ah, a woman cursed to die on her 25th birthday.

Their story unfolds across one terrifying night, blending horror, suspense, and raw human emotions. This is Anupam’s first chance to lead a project and show a completely different side of his acting talent.

Who is Anupam Tripathi?

Born in India, Anupam moved to South Korea in 2010 after earning a scholarship to study at the Korea National University of Arts. He quickly immersed himself in Korean culture and mastered the language within two years.

Like many struggling actors, he began with minor parts in dramas and films. His face appeared briefly in Descendants of the Sun, Hospital Playlist, Arthdal Chronicles, Taxi Driver, Strangers From Hell, and King the Land. Each small role added to his experience, even if his name was missing from the credits.

Today, Anupam’s journey—from an unknown student to a lead actor in Korean cinema—stands as an inspiration for foreign artists who dream of making it in Hallyu.
