Hyun Bin is back in the spotlight these days with a lot of exciting news. Korea's Hallyu wave superstar, who rose to fame with the runaway international hit My Lovely Samsoon, announced his wedding earlier this year to his former co-star and fellow Hallyu star Son Ye Jin. This power couple is trending again with the news of welcoming a baby, and a brand new movie is to come out this year!
The couple starred in Crash Landing on You together in 2020. The drama was very popular that year and had obvious chemistry that led to the co-stars becoming more than an on-screen couple. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin entered a hiatus after the drama and announced their relationship in 2021. But in February of this year, they announced their wedding which occurred this spring. And recently, the couple announced that they are expecting a baby this year as well.
While fans coo and cry over the prospect of two-star actors becoming Korea's new power couple, there is, even more, to be excited about. Hyun Bin is returning to the silver screen with a sequel to 2017's Confidential Assignment. This was an action-packed movie about a North Korean detective chasing a killer into South Korea and a joint Korean effort to stop crime. The sequel is set to expand this team's endeavors to the U.S. and is set to star Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, Im Yoona (Girls Generation), and Daniel Henney.
