The Boyz, one of K-pop's most prominent groups, is central to a heated conflict. However, the trademark dispute surrounding The Boyz has been resolved. On December 5, 2024, IST Entertainment and ONE HUNDRED met to discuss the ongoing conflict over the group’s name, "The Boyz."

Fans, known as The B, who were bracing for prolonged uncertainty, now have reasons to celebrate as both agencies have reached an agreement.

The controversy initially arose when ONE HUNDRED, The Boyz’s new agency, disputed IST Entertainment's claims about granting "free usage rights" for the group’s trademark.

ONE HUNDRED had criticized the terms proposed by IST, arguing that they were disadvantageous to the members and lacked transparency.

The dispute put a cloud over The Boyz’s transition from IST to ONE HUNDRED, leaving fans concerned about the group’s future branding.

As the group’s exclusive contract with IST ended today, December 5, 2024, ONE HUNDRED revealed details of their meeting with IST Entertainment.

In an official statement, they shared, "Today (5th), we met with IST Entertainment and smoothly reached a mutual agreement on the use of the trademark 'The Boyz' and three agreements."

Both agencies expressed their commitment to prioritizing The Boyz and their fans.

ONE HUNDRED added, "After resolving our sad feelings and talking frankly, we and IST Entertainment have reached an agreement that puts The Boyz members and Derby fans first and makes everyone happy."

ONE HUNDRED also extended their gratitude to IST Entertainment and The B's for their unwavering support over the years.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused to The Boyz and The B's who are about to make a new start, and ONE HUNDRED will do our best to actively support the further development and preservation of the skills of the artists ‘The Boyz’."

This resolution marks the end of a tense chapter for The Boyz, who are now embarking on their next phase with ONE HUNDRED after six successful years under IST Entertainment.

Their journey continues to captivate fans worldwide, with their latest album Doha selling over 560,000 copies in its first week.
