Let’s start doing some wardrobe shopping and mix matching what we’ve got! Take note these looks are unisex appropriate. 1. The Denim Jacket Look This versatile piece that most of us have in our closet will be our go-to piece this transitional season! It is definitely easy to pair with almost any piece in our wardrobe. During the warm summer season , it is common to wear cotton t-shirts or long sleeve button-down shirts because they are breathable, but during the transitional phase going to autumn, there are days that can be chilly so wearing a denim jacket will absolutely save you from that. 2. Smart casual to formal blazer look If you are looking for an all-season appropriate staple piece of clothing then start styling your blazers into different looks ranging from smart casual to formal looks. Blazers also come with different materials so take into consideration what is weather appropriate and what also feels good to you. The key word here is appropriate! 3. Trench coat Wearing a trench coat can elevate any basic look and make you look more sophisticated and put together. • A guide to THE BEST cherry blossom locations in Korea — 2024!

Cherry blossom season is upon us! This short guide will help you explore the best photoesque locations to spot the beautiful blossoms in South Korea this spring! So grab a friend and or/a family member and let's get to exploring! Daegu Now perhaps I am bias, but I think Daegu is the perfect place to see the cherry blossoms this year. Not only is Daegu the warmest city in Korea, but it also boasts many romantic and photogenic places to enjoy the cherry blossoms. With its warmer climate, you can also spot the blossoms earlier than in other cities. This year the blossoms are expected to bloom from March 22, 2024. E-World, which is shown in the picture above will allow you to enjoy theme park rides and roller coasters at the same time, or if you prefer a coffee and a walk, then I would recommend heading to Suseong Lake . Here, you can enjoy a cute café and get some amazing photos! Seoul Now, being a mega city, Seoul of course has heaps of places where you can enjoy the cherry blossoms this Spring. However, I recommend heading to Lotte Tower first. Here, you can enjoy stunning skyscraper views, but also take amazing shots of this springtime flower. This area is often visited by locals, so it should give you a better chance to get some good photos! Of course, there are many cherry blossom festivals in Seoul too! For the more quiet festival you should head to Yangjaecheon Stream , or if a lantern festival is more for you, then head to Seokchon Lake Park at night to enjoy the blossoms and the bright colors of the illuminations. The best time to see the 2024 Cherry Blossoms in Seoul is anticipated to be around April 4th! Busan March 22 is the start of the cherry blossoms this year in Busan . Now being a costal city and Korea's second-largest city, Busan is a great destination! A great place to head to is Dalmaji-gil Road , because of its high peak, it offers outstanding views of many cherry blossom trees and the beach at the same time! If a hike isn't for you then I would suggest going for a walk along Oncheoncheon Stream . It is known as "Cherry Blossom Road" and will enable you to take in the moment and capture stunning photos too! While you visit, why not rent a bike or take a jog? Elsewhere, Samnak Ecological Park is a peaceful setting to connect with all sorts of nature, including wildflower colonies and wetlands. During the Samnak Cherry Blossom Festival, make a beeline to the blossom tunnel that runs along the Nakdong River. You will not be disappointed! Jeju Island Last on my list is of course, Korea's largest island, Jeju ! This year it's expected that from March 24 you will be able to see these beautiful blossoms on the island. Jeju's native "King Cherry trees" offer the most dramatic cherry blossoms in Korea. Given the warm climate in Jeju, you can spot the blossoms earlier than in other cities on the mainland. The blossoms here are very large, so some branches tend to disappear underneath them. That's pretty cool, right? You’ll see king cherry blossoms all over the island in the spring, with several tree-lined streets around the island serving as locales for the annual Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival. Two roads to prioritize for blossom viewing during your visit are Jeonnong-ro, a bustling street with many cafes and restaurants that are adorned with lanterns to add to the atmosphere and the pedestrian-friendly Jangjeon-ri with its cherry blossom tunnel. Other points of interest that double as prime viewing spots include Jeju National University and Jeju Stadium, the town of Aewol-eup, Hallim Park, Seongeup Folk Village, and Seopjikoji Hill. For more information on when you can expect to see the Cherry Blossoms this year in Korea, please check out the map below! Let us know which city you plan on visiting to see 2024's Cherry blossoms, and don't forget to tag us in your photos too! #CherryBlossoms #CherryBlossomFestival

  • "Taxi Driver 2" Surpasses "The Glory" As Korea's Most Popular Drama! Here's Why!

South Korea has crowned a new king in the most popular drama series this year! The "taxi squad" made up of hilariously diverse characters has beaten the new global hit "The Glory" as Korea's most-watched drama series! Let's take a look at why this is! "Taxi Driver 2" was cited by the media outlet, Gallup Korea, as the top most-watched tv series drama! The survey was conducted on 1003 Korean individuals from ages 18 and older from April 17 - April 20, 2023. According to the survey results, "Taxi Driver 2" beat out "Mr. Trot 2" and Netflix's "The Glory" as the preferred program! On April 16, the day after the season 2 finale aired, the producer from the show announced that there will be a season 3! The season 2 finale earned higher viewership ratings than the season one finale! It also set a new record for the highest ratings achieved by a mini-series of 2023 so far! So why do Koreans prefer this light-hearted action series over the dark, brooding "The Glory"? We give you four reasons why! 1. Koreans love to laugh at slapstick comedy! It's hard to understand Korean humor sometimes. A little jab at someone's family could end up becoming something a lot more serious than intended. Therefore, stand-up comedy isn't very popular. Instead, shows like "Running Man" and "Great Escape" tend to do really well and run on for many seasons. "Taxi Driver 2" provides a lot of innocent, child-like humor that everyone can enjoy. Without the need to put other characters down. Very vanilla. 2. Every case is about two episodes long. The format for "Taxi Driver 2" is a lot different than that of "The Glory" . Each case that the "taxi squad" takes out lasts for only two episodes therefore the audience doesn't have to sit through the whole series to find out what happens. If you've never been to South Korea, Koreans have a "ppalli ppalli culture" ( 빨리빨리), which literally translates to "hurry hurry" or "quickly". Koreans have very little patience in their everyday lives, so concluding a case within two episodes or one week, is very convenient for the audience. 3. It is very easy to follow. Unlike "The Glory" , "Taxi Driver 2" is very linear in terms of the timeline and story. Sometimes, there are flashbacks to fill the audience in with background information, but for the most part, the audience doesn't have to do much thinking. "The Glory" , on the other hand, has a very complex and intricate storyline that spans over 15 years. It is engaging and takes more effort to focus on what is going on, making it more difficult for many Koreans to stay engaged for over an hour. 4. A sense of well-deserved justice. There have been many complaints about several scenes in "The Glory" including many of the bullying scenes where there is no filter or censorship making Koreans feel a little uncomfortable. Bullying is a big deal in South Korea, therefore, making the story a little too realistic for many viewers. "Taxi Driver 2" , on the other hand, takes care of the bad guys very cleanly and neatly, without showing the gory stuff. In addition, since "Taxi Driver 2" tends to be a little more fictional so it hits less close to home for many Koreans. So that's it for our reasons! Let us know if you agree or not! If not, let us know your reasons and if you're waiting for season 3! #taxidriver2 #theglorypart2 #theglory #leejehoon
