With the 2024 Seoul Waterbomb Festival over, we want to know, was it really worth it? We give you our personal experience if the price is worth the entry! I was supposed to go to attend this years Waterbomb Festival this year, but it was not possible. Now, I've been to many concerts in the past, and I attended the 2023 Waterbomb in Daegu and I have to say that it was worth it. Let's check out some of the highlights from this year's festival so far! Also, special guests Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman surprised the crowds at this year's Seoul event including K-drama's very own Cha Eun Woo! Videos were posted throughout social media, which showed Hugh Jackman, being introduced as Wolverine as he held a water gun; the actor struck a pose as fans in the crowd sprayed water in his direction. "We love you! We love you Seoul," he said in one video, speaking to the audience as Waterbomb made a heart sign with his hands. The actors made the event more popular virally due to their followers on social media, especially during this time. In regards to the ticket price for the 2024 festival, prices are around the 110,000 - 154,000 KRW mark, which is roughly 100 - 130 USD. Personally, I think that for a 540 minute show, the price is very reasonable, due the various artists that you are able to see perform, let alone being able to have fun with water guns and cool off in the summer heat. The ticket price is worth it in my opinion. Let's check out that magic moment! Of course, the Waterbomb Festival is so much more than watching your favorite performers. You are also able to have a water fight with your friends and other attendees, get involved with celebrity water fights since there are cannons on stage, and upgrade your ticket to a VIP table, where you can enjoy a side view of the stage and bar area, or even enjoy a variety of food from the food stalls. All these options at the event make it a stand-out date of the year, and an event not to be missed! The weather during the Waterbomb Tour was also very hot and humid, especially in Daegu so many tickets sold out for the festival, more so than in other years. The amount of water that was used during the festival was a great way to cool down during the summer heat, and I have to say that it looked refreshing! I really think for the thousands of fans that attended this year's event, it was for sure worth it. For the artists and special guests, I can only imagine the feeling of performing to so many people at once, how amazing it must have truly felt. I am definitely looking forward to 2025's Waterbomb Festival. Are you? Blackpink's Jennie has signed a contract with Columbia Records, in partnership with her record label and company Oddatelier with her new single which is set to be released in October. Jennie was actually signed by the record label this morning (September 9, 2024) and it was updated on Columbia Records own Instagram page, with the caption "We are family" which I thought was endearing to hear. Let's take a look at this historic post! Jennie is my favorite member of Blackpink due to her impressive vocals and image. I think that she is always on point, and excels at everything she puts her mind to. Jennie is also the highest achieving female Korean act on the Billboard charts, and she is the only Korean artist to headline Coachella . She also released her debut solo album "SOLO" in 2018 before the band went their separate ways, and later in 2023, she released a special solo "You & Me". Jennie was born in Korea, but moved to and studied in Auckland, New Zealand when she was 10 for five years before returning to Korea and joining the entertainment powerhouse YG’s talent academy. Blackpink formed in 2016 and has gone on to become the first music group and Korean female act to have five music videos accumulate one billion views each on YouTube and are the most-followed girl group on Spotify and rightly so. Lee Mu Jin has a voice that can be heard in most Korean homes, bars, and cafés. His voice is iconic due to the high notes and effortless singing. So who is the man behind the voice? Lee Mu Jin was born in the year 2000 and is a South Korean singer and songwriter, who rose to fame after first appearing in the music audition show Sing Again fairly recently back in 2020, where he finished in 3rd place. Following his success as a runner-up on the show, Lee Mu Jin released his own single "Traffic Light" in 2021, and as soon as the song was released it spent a well-earned 3 weeks at number one on the South Korean charts. After, in 2022, Lee Mu Jin became the main host of the KBS web-based show "Lee Mujin Service" where he continues to do some work. "Traffic Light" is a song that can be heard in many bars, cafés and homes in Korea. Let's check it out! I have watched this video a number of times, and I really like that the music video shows a realistic side to the singer, from the scenes of him sitting around the campfire singing with his friends, or appearing with his family in a feel-good setting. Vocally I also feel that Lee Mu Jin has an incredible voice, especially when it comes to hitting the high notes, which I can only dream of doing. Besides having a great singing voice, he is also a genius songwriter. Kim Eana, is a songwriter who has written numerous number-one songs for artists such as IU, Taeyeon, Park Hyo Shin etc, In 2024 he took center stage at the Seoul Festa around the City Hall area of Seoul, which again gained huge popularity with the crowds.
