BTS’s Jungkook Reflects on Two Very Different Fan Encounters and Explains Why Respect Always Comes First
Even global superstars deserve a little peace when they're just trying to grab a loaf of bread. BTS member Jungkook recently opened up about an uncomfortable fan encounter that left him disappointed, using the moment to remind everyone that admiration should never come at the cost of someone's personal space.

During a Weverse livestream, the singer shared two fan interactions from the same day that couldn't have been more different.
One made him smile, while the other crossed a line. His honest message quickly sparked conversations online, with many agreeing that respecting boundaries is the bare minimum, no matter how famous someone is.
Jungkook revealed that he had gone alone to watch the Korean film Hope. As he walked out of the theater, a few fans recognised him and politely asked if they could take photos with him. The BTS star happily agreed, saying he has no issue taking pictures when people approach him respectfully.
According to Jungkook, those moments are enjoyable because both he and the fans can share a positive interaction built on mutual respect.

However, the vibe changed when he later stopped at a bakery. Jungkook recalled that someone suddenly stood in front of him and shoved a camera directly into his face without asking. The singer admitted that the incident made him uncomfortable and called the behavior rude.
He stressed that the issue wasn't about refusing photos but about basic manners. "Taking pictures together isn't a problem," he explained, adding that pushing a camera into someone's face without permission simply isn't respectful. He also said it doesn't matter where a person is from or how old they are-everyone should know how to treat others with courtesy.

His words quickly resonated with ARMY and social media users, many of whom praised him for calmly setting clear boundaries instead of staying silent. It's not the first time Jungkook has reminded fans that idols are people first, celebrities second. His latest message is simple but powerful: being a fan isn't about getting the perfect photo or viral moment-it's about showing kindness and respect. Safe to say, the real flex is asking first, not assuming access.
