"Our Sticky Love" Review: Jung Hae-in and Ha Young Serve Romance, Mystery, and Just Enough Chaos

If your idea of a relaxing K-drama involves amnesia, suspicious men, fake relationships, criminals, and two people catching feelings while pretending they absolutely are not, Our Sticky Love has entered the chat.

The Netflix series starring Jung Hae-in and Ha Young takes a familiar collection of K-drama ingredients and tosses them into one gloriously messy romantic mystery. It follows a prosecutor who loses her memory after an attack and a man who suddenly introduces himself as her boyfriend. Sounds suspicious? Obviously. Is it entertaining? Also obviously. The series knows exactly how ridiculous its premise is and leans into the chaos.

When the Fake Boyfriend Situation Gets Very Real

The biggest reason Our Sticky Love works is its central pairing. Ha Young’s Eun-sae is not your typical helpless amnesia heroine. Even without her memories, she remains sharp, suspicious, and determined to figure out what happened to her. Naturally, that makes life extremely inconvenient for Tae-ha, played by Jung Hae-in, whose “boyfriend” story comes with more red flags than a K-drama villain convention.

And this is where the show gets fun. Tae-ha is supposed to maintain the lie, but Eun-sae keeps poking holes in his story. Their constant questioning, awkward cover-ups, and growing attraction give the romance a playful energy. Jung Hae-in also gets to show off a more comedic side, which is a welcome change from the emotionally tortured romantic leads he often plays.

The show also throws in crime, mystery and countryside healing, so there is always something happening. Sometimes, perhaps, too much. The plot can feel like it has five tabs open at once, and not all of them are equally interesting.

Still, the chemistry keeps the whole thing from collapsing under its own chaos. When the mystery takes a back seat, the relationship becomes the real reason to stay.

The Verdict: Should You Stick With This Sticky Romance?

Our Sticky Love is not here to reinvent romance dramas. It is here to serve a fun, slightly ridiculous binge with attractive leads, suspicious secrets, and enough romantic tension to keep you pressing “next episode.”

Yes, some twists are easy to predict. Yes, the storyline occasionally tries to do approximately seventeen things at once. And yes, you may find yourself yelling at the screen because Eun-sae clearly should not trust this man.

But that is part of the charm. The series succeeds when it stops taking itself too seriously and lets Jung Hae-in and Ha Young carry the emotional side of the story. Their chemistry gives the otherwise familiar setup some personality, while the mystery provides enough momentum to prevent the romance from becoming painfully slow.

If you want something light, romantic, and a little unhinged, Our Sticky Love deserves a spot on your Netflix watchlist. It is not peak K-drama genius, but it is definitely the kind of chaotic comfort watch that can have you saying, “Okay, just one more episode” at 2 a.m.
