Suga's Next Move: The Unveiling

Having completed his military service, his global impact has just began to unfold into more positive news following the highly publicised drink driving (DUI) case last year.

For a moment, forget the dazzling stage lights and prepare a box of tissues!

A lot has been happening in the a quiet wing of a Seoul hospital, as Suga, one of the members of BTS has donated a personal gift of  5 billion won (that's about US$3.62 million!) which is designed to help children with autism spectrum disorder! He is hoping that this slightly overwhelming donation will help purchase cutting edge technology for the Min Yoon Gi Treatment Center, at Severance Hospital as soon as this September.

It's one of the most generous moves we've seen from a K-pop artist in ages.

Classroom Confidential: Suga's Surprise Dual Life Revealed to Students

A part from the very grand donation, Suga really has done something special for these children. Between March and June this year, he dedicated several weekends out of his busy schedule to spend time with those in needs.

During his time at the hospital, he worked closely with the children. Imagine him standing there, guitar in hand, gently strumming the strings and guiding them through rhythm exercises, helping them craft their own lyrics, and even perform! When it comes to young children, especially those that suffer with mental health, rhythm and sensory healing is key to aid their recovery and make their lives more enjoyable and manageable.

"I realized that music can be a powerful way to express feelings and communicate with the world," Suga shared in his press interview, a sentiment that clearly blossomed from these heartfelt interactions. "It made me happy to be part of the treatment process for children with autism." Some powerful words there from such an iconic and humble star.

ARMY Rallies: Fans Flood Min Yoongi Treatment Center with Donations

As for the impact? It has been beautiful to witness. Severance Hospital saw tangible results, and the children began to open up, expressing themselves with newfound freedom and blossoming in their social interactions. This just goes to show that music really does have a healing and universal power.

ARMY have also been behind some further donations to this amazing cause, and it seems like they might have just forgave Suga for his drinking scandal last year, as they have got to see a more sensitive side to the K-pop mega star.

When the Min Yoon Gi Center officially opens, it won't just expand on this incredible work, but it also introduce innovative new music based therapy options. It's a truly heart-warming step that could set a wonderful precedent in the field of pediatric mental health. Which as mental health in Korea is still a very much taboo topic, especially among children and men, this might be one of the first major steps and making that change in Korea society.
