In the end, it was Kang Dae Hyeon who proved to be the better dancer! Do you agree? 4. K-Soul Claims to be the "prettiest". K-Soul proved that he wanted to be the center of attention by bringing a mirror to the show and constantly checking his makeup and lip gloss while waiting for his turn. When partnered with Hikaru to compete in front of the judges, K-Soul did a great job proving to everyone that not only is he the "prettiest", but also should be respected for his elegant dance moves! 3. Hong Sung Min's performance shows why he should be considered to be one of the top contestants for the Top 12! We also believed he was the best dancer from the first episode! 1. Kim Woo Seok's red mittens exploding with cuteness! As the first contestant to be introduced in the program, we can't help but mention that Kim Woo Seok 's red mittens really did steal the show! Oh Hyeon Tae dazzles in a cool hip-hop routine! Oh Hyeon Tae proved that the youngest (16 years old) should not be overlooked as his cool "manly" hip hop style choreography proved to be much better than his older counterparts! He definitely proved to everyone that he deserves to be on the show and should be taken seriously by the competition! Si Ryu gives an epic emotional dance routine. 16-year veteran Si Ryu showed his maturity and hard work as his emotionally charged dance routine was one of the best of the night! • [Exclusive Interview] Konstantin, the man behind Pizza Hut Korea's latest ad, and what it takes to be a successful actor in Korea!

In recent years with the overwhelming success of K-pop, K-dramas and everything related to Korea has brought people from all over the globe to follow their dreams! From Netflix dramas to multiple commercials including Pizza Hut, Dojeon team member, Lewis, recently interviewed Konstantin Romanenko , a successful Russian actor and model to find out what it takes to become a successful actor in South Korea! Can you please introduce yourself to the Dojeon Media readers? My name is Konstantin, I am from Russia, and I grew up in Siberia. I really enjoy traveling, and I have worked and travelled in over 33 countries around the world. I love being in front of the camera, and I have been working as an actor and model for many years before moving to Korea. You were the main character in the 'Pizza Hut' commercial. Can you share some more information about that role? My role in the Pizza Hut commercial was playing the main character. It was a good chance for me to get into the industry here in Korea, and it was a very memorable shoot for me, as I thought it was a 12 hour night shoot. Before the shoot, I did not know exactly what the role was, but on the day of the shoot I was told fully that I would be playing the main role. The shoot then went onto be an 18 hour shoot. The shoot was for a big western company, and I got to work with some amazing people and wear some awesome costumes. It was great, because the commercial was shown all over the country. It was a good opportunity for me and great exposure. What inspired you to become and actor and model? I actually inspired myself to work in this industry, when I was younger I would crave attention and recognition, so I would always try and make a big effort with everything that I did. If I set my mind to something, I would work at it all day every day until I had mastered it. It is still the same today, as I strive to always be the best at everything that I do. How does the entertainment industry in Korea, compare to the entertainment industry in Russia? The industry is very similar, though the pay is higher in Russia, I think because the entertainment industry in Korea is at it's peak, though in reality, its probably because the work that I do in Korea is more focused on modelling and acting, and in Russia it can be broader. The industry in Korea has lots of opportunities to work with different companies than in Russia, also the entertainment industry in Korea is focussed heavily through social media too, and having a strong presence can really help you. What have been the challenges that you have faced so far? The challenges that I have faced have been rejection from some roles that I have applied for in the past mainly based on experience or not having a certain image for a role. In these cases it has just made me want to work harder, so I have used it as a positive, rather than thinking about it negatively. Strong Girl Nam Soon (Netflix 2023) How did you become an actor in Korea? To become an actor in Korea, I had to find an agency. For this, I contacted many agencies and had lots of meetings. Before I got to this stage, I had to ensure that I had a strong work portfolio from Russia and the other countries that I have worked in, so that I could get signed and sponsored. What can we expect from you this year? This year, new films will be released along with YouTube clips and podcasts, along with dramas and commercials, and much more! Make sure that you look out for me! Can you please say a few words for the Dojeon readers? Never give up, and always be happy. Don't stop believing in your dreams and you will become successful! Let us know in the comments below, your questions for Konstantin! #Koreanmodel #KoreanActor #PizzaHut

  • Seoul authorities to deploy sniffer dogs on returning Olympians! Are they going too far?

Seoul authorities have announced that they are going to deploy sniffer dogs on returning Olympians, to detect bed bugs! Is this over the top or necessary? We cover the details! South Korea has deployed a bedbug sniffer dog at Incheon airport in an attempt to reduce the nationwide risk of bedbugs entering Korea undetected. Now, this may seem over the top, however last year (2023) France after the COVID-19 pandemic, faced another pandemic which was bedbugs primarily in the French capital Paris, where the 2024 Pairs Olympics were held, attracting thousands of overseas visitors. The bedbug sniffer dogs will be inspecting passengers who enter the country including athletes, officials, and fans when they return from the Olympics in Paris. Leading the campaign is a two-year-old beagle named Ceco, who pest control company Cesco said is the first and so far only canine trained in the country to detect the odor of pheromones, the chemicals released by bedbugs, I think that this is so clever. I mean being an owner of three very different dogs and one of them being a Beagle I know how good their noes and sense of smell. Ceco is capable of sweeping a standard hotel room in under two minutes, company official Kim Min S said, "How insane is that?!" The pest control company has teamed up with South Korea’s ministries of security and transportation, as well as the disease control and prevention agency, and is working with airlines and Incheon Airport to screen travelers on arrival. I agree that this is a smart move by the Korean Government in order to try and stop any outbreak from entering the country, especially from the origin country, and I also think that this is a much more cost effective way to try and stop a potential pandemic from happening. Let us know your thoughts on this hot topic in the comments below. #beagle #incheonairport #2024ParisOlympics #bedbugs

  • This costal city has a hidden gem! Our Restaurant of the Month! [March 2025]

Image: Menyasan Daime - Lewis Hooper With literally thousands of restaurants to choose from in Busan , it is hard to stand out amongst the competition, however this unsuspecting hole in the wall ramen restaurant did just that! We highlight the dishes that made our mouths water and why it should be on your to-eat list! Hole in the wall gem! This hole in the wall ramen spot called Menyasan Daime is located at Jangsan Station , at the every end of the green subway line, just two stops away from the popular Haeundae Beach . If you get out of exit number seven, this place is right by Baskin Robbins. Yes, this place is tiny, though this hole in the wall ramen will literally be on your mind for a while after visiting. From the offset, when you enter you literally have to duck your head to get under the door frame, and there is no way that more than four people at a time will be able to visit this place, but the wait is worth it! The mouth-watering ramen! Words can simply not describe how good the ramen is here! I ordered the Miso ramen with Chasyu (pork) added on top, as well as ordering a side of Jeju black pork gyoza dumplings. When the miso ramen was served, it was packed with pork and lots of vegetables, and with the addition of the Chasyu it just elevated the flavors to a whole new level! Image: Miso ramen with Chasyu (pork) added on top - Lewis Hooper Image: Jeju black pork gyozas - Lewis Hooper The addition of the side of Jeju black pork gyozas, came as a set of five, and the dumpling wrapper was black. The gyozas were prepared really well, and the pan fried skin and savory dipping sauce worked really well together. The meat inside did resemble a more similar taste to beef, as Jeju black pork is known for tasting “meatier”. However, the cost of the gyozas was fairly expensive (9,000 KRW) compared to the ramen, but they did pack a punch full of flavor. The home comfort noodles that you crave from time to time will not compare to the noodles that you will try here for a similar price. Yes, they were inexpensive, and if you are unable to eat in, then this small hole in the wall restaurant also offer take out service. https://www.dojeonmedia.com/post/restaurant-of-the-month-this-couple-owned-asian-fusion-restaurant-is-the-place-to-be-in-february https://www.dojeonmedia.com/post/the-ultimate-korean-comfort-food-ramyeon-and-why-it-went-viral-plus-our-favorite-types-and-bran What is your favorite Ramen place in Korea?
