- Chun Woo Hee strives to save a superhero family in dire straits in new drama "The Atypical Family"
In an era where superhero stories reign supreme, JTBC's new fantasy/romance drama, The Atypical Family , starring Chun Woo Hee and Jang Ki Yong flips the genre upside down and then some! We break down why it should be on your Spring watchlist! Synopsis The Bok family is quite different than your average family (hence the title). Bok Gwi Ju (Jang Ki Yong My Roommate Is A Gumiho 2021) can travel back in time, but only during his happy moments. He loses his superpower due to his depression from losing his wife in a car accident. His family also loses their superpowers due to insomnia, bulimia, and smartphone addiction. The Bok family has a twist in fate as one day, an ordinary woman, Do Da Hee (Chun Woo Hee Delightfully Deceitful 2023) saves Bok Gwi Ju from drowning one day and her family claims her as their "savior", hoping to get their powers back. With an interesting twist in your typical normal superhero family drama, The Atypical Family explores themes of redemption and "comebackism", but in reverse order. Will Do Da Hee be able to help the Bok family return to their normal selves? Also, in return, will she ever find a person who truly loves her despite her two previous divorces? Soo Hyun ( Gyeongseong Creature 2023-2024), also stars in this drama with the serious topic of bulimia and how a typical Korean woman "should look". She definitely looks a lot different from her usual roles and this is definitely something to watch out for! The Atypical Family airs every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 on JTBC . Comment below if you are feeling this drama! Do you like the theme and nature of The Atypical Family? #TheAtypicalFamily #ChunWooHee #JangKiYong #SooHyun

- Seoul's "Summer Beach" is back and bigger than ever! Here's what you need to know to stay cool during the hot & humid Korean summer!
What better way to cool down this summer, than taking a dip in one of the pools at Seoul's summer beach, located in the heart of Seoul. Here are all the details to keep you cool! With the summer heat and intense humidity in full swing, the Seoul Government has announced that the 2024 Seoul Summer Beach, will open to the public in Gwanghwamun Square later this month. When I heard this news, I was so excited. As you may know, many public pools open in the summer along the Han River , to allow locals and tourists to cool down, but the fact that there will be an outdoor pool right in the heart of the city made me feel excited! Please don't go thinking that this pool will be something small, mainly to dip your feet in. This outdoor pool will be 40 meters long, and in addition, it will also feature 2 water slides! Seoul's Summer Beach will open to the public between July 26, 2024, and August 11, 2024, and it was also announced that for 2024 the pool will be twice the size it was in 2023. I think that this is mainly due to the increase in foreign tourists that Korea has been trying to attract for 2024, so this means that 800 people will be able to use the pool at any one time!! Let's check out some of the features and fun from 2023! One thing for me when I go away, is that I like to keep busy, so although it is often nice to lay around by a beach or a pool, I enjoy seeing what local cities have to offer. A great thing about having the Summer Beach located near to City Hall Station in Seoul, will allow city tourists like me, the chance to cool down without having to leave the city. I will for sure be visiting Seoul's 2024 Summer Beach! Will you?! Let us know in the comments below. #SeoulSummerBeach2024 #Seoul #SummerBeach #urbanlife
