- There is something for everyone at the Seoul Museum of Art! Here's why!
Whether you are a fan of art or not, Seoul Museum of Art has something for everyone. Our team member, Lewis, takes you on a very fun tour of why it should be part of your trip itinerary (or day plans)! Seoul Art Museum or SEMA is really something not to be missed on your trip to Seoul! I am not a big fan of art, however, I really enjoyed visiting this place on several occasions. A great thing about the museum is that it is totally FREE , apart from the special exhibitions it hosts from time to time. What makes it great is it is accessible to anyone and everyone compared to other countries where you may have to pay to enter. Located right by City Hall subway station in the center of Seoul, the museum boasts a wide collection of old but also very modern art as well. I recently got to enjoy the modern art side of things when I visited. I found it interesting trying to work out that artists thought of the pieces that were on display, and later realized that most things, if not everything, could be counted as art. My favorite however has to be the AI section, where I was seated in a room with a VR eye set, and it appeared that someone was sitting opposite me interrogating me, running towards me, and shooting me. This was of course scary, however, it was memorable! Also, the building is great for taking Instagrammable photos as well, as it has fantastic natural light and interesting backdrops for you to become creative with! I had such a fantastic time when I visited, and I think that you would too! I do suggest to get there early to avoid crowds. - Why do Koreans always ask for your MBTI?
If you speak to any Korean from the younger generation, they will most likely ask for your MBTI. This is the modern way to categorize your personality into one of the 16 groups. Let's find out why this has become a phenomenon! Before we dive into this article, let's take a look at different MBTI types on the chart: Have you ever heard someone describe themselves as an INTJ or an ESTP and wondered what those cryptic-sounding letters could mean? What these people are referring to is their personality type based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Based on the answers to the questions on the inventory, people are identified as having one of 16 personality types. The goal of the MBTI is to allow respondents to further explore and understand their personalities including their likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, possible career preferences, and compatibility with other people. No one personality type is "best" or "better" than another. It isn't a tool designed to look for dysfunction or abnormality. Instead, its goal is simply to help you learn more about yourself. The questionnaire itself is made up of four different scales, so at the end of this article I have included one link that will take you to the MBTI test, where you can then let us know your MBTI results in the comments. Here's an oldie-but-goodie video of NCT revealing their MBTIs! During my time in Korea and especially over the past year, I have been asked my MBTI type at least once a week. After being hesitant, at first with doing the test, as since I am from the UK, I believe in star signs more. I took the test and discovered that I mainly fall under the INFP category. I was not surprised when I read the traits and characteristics that fall under this category, as they are very true to my behavior. I do, however, think that considering Koreans used to use blood types to determine personality, this chart can be more accurate and, of course, there are more options to choose from, which make it more interesting. Let's take a look at this video to get a better understanding: Why not take the test for yourself? https://www.thepersonalitylab.org/m2?gad_source=5&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItN73zcnnhwMVkGZBAh38lS6HEAAYAiAAEgI60_D_BwE Let us know what your MBTI is in the comments below. #MBTI #kpopidols #myersbriggs #personalitytest

- Exploring 5 Life Lessons in "When Life Gives You Tangerines"
We've laughed, cried, and reflected on our own lives in what could be the best drama of 2025 When Life Gives You Tangerines . This drama showcased everything a slice-of-life drama could offer. We explore 5 life lessons that we learned from watching this masterpiece! When Life Gives You Tangerines - Photo - Dramabeans.com The popular K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines is likely to be celebrated as one of the best ever. Its heart-warming story, compelling characters, stunning cinematography, and powerful life lessons have forged a deep connection with viewers globally. By weaving together themes of love, loss, family, and the importance of community in a deeply emotional way, it's a series that both entertains and profoundly enlightens, ensuring its enduring appeal. Never Underestimate the Power of Your Community The haenyo women who raised Ae-sun (Photo: Netflix) Beyond the childhood village, it's a resilient community that truly carries you through life's storms. Ae Sun , orphaned early, was raised by her village, but the haenyo (female divers) community – her mother's legacy – became her enduring strength. These sea women were more than just caregivers; they were lifelong allies and guardians who remained by Ae Sun's ( IU ) side even as she became a mother herself. In their twilight years, their worry was whether Ae-sun could eventually navigate life without their constant support. Through every high and low, Ae Sun's haenyo community stood as a testament to unwavering support, celebrating her triumphs and sharing her burdens. Choose a Partner Who Is Fully Invested in You Together through thick and thin (Photo: IMDb) Find a love that mirrors Gwan Sik's "Steel Heart" devotion to Ae Sun. When it comes to unwavering devotion to a partner, Gwan Sik ( Park Bo Gum ) sets the benchmark. Known as "Steel Heart" for his adoration and loyalty, his life was dedicated to Ae Sun's happiness and the well-being of their family , quietly weathering life's storms. His love was both grand and intimate, from his determined ocean crossing for Ae-sun to his lifelong supply of her favorite hair clips. He was a partner who prioritized his wife above all else, even his own family and the opinions of his beloved daughter. As their daughter Geum Myeong (also IU) astutely observed, her mother was always "number zero" in her father's heart. Don't Forget Your Worth "I do love you deeply. But I love myself deeply, too." (Photo: IMDb) The ultimate act of love is often choosing yourself. Despite the deep affection in Geum Myeong's first relationship with Park Yeong Beom , evident even to Ae-sun, the relentless disrespect from his mother forced Geum Myeong to a powerful realization. Recognizing the importance of her own self-love, she called off the wedding, declaring, "I do love you deeply. But I love myself deeply, too." People Are More Than They Seem People contain multitudes. (Photo: IMDb) Bu Sang Gil's story in "Tangerines" serves as a powerful reminder that there's more to people than meets the eye. While largely depicted as a flawed husband and father, his eventual redemption arc in the final volume reveals the complexity within him. It underscores the idea that even seemingly unsympathetic individuals can surprise us with their capacity for growth and positive change. What goes around comes around. It pays to be kind. (Photo: Netflix) Kindness has a memory, and the universe, in its own time and way, tends to repay the good we offer. Ae-sun and Gwan Sik's simple act of warning a young woman years prior led to her later protecting their daughter from false accusations. In another instance, a celebrity returned Gwan Sik's past kindness by saving their restaurant. These events underscore the enduring power of generosity, which often finds a path to reciprocation.
