- Want to experience that K-drama feeling? Then head to "Layered", Dojeon's Café of the month!
Located in the heart of Seoul, Layered is much more than a typical coffee shop! Dojeon team member, Lewis, explains why this café can give you a more K-drama-esque experience! Image: Layered - Lewis Hooper Well-loved by locals, especially couples Layered is a destination café if you want to experience that K-drama feeling this Valentine's month. Famous for its scones, it was a must-try for me, being a Brit! Image: Layered Seoul - Lewis Hooper There were so many options to choose from, and I found myself overwhelmed (in a good way) by all of the available options. After taking a while to decide, I opted to try the Earl Grey scone, and it was for sure the right choice. In Britain, there is a debate as to whether or not to add the jam or the cream first, depending on where you are from in the country. There is also a wide variety of pastries to choose from as well, in fact, the bakery selection is vast so if you do go as a couple of a group, I recommend trying a few pastries or scones and sharing them between you. The drink menu is similar to that of other cafés, although I feel the sizes and quality are much nicer. I opted for the hot honey and lemon tea since it was a cold day. Image: Layered Seoul - Lewis Hooper Image: Layered Seoul - Lewis Hooper What makes Layered stand out? What truly makes Layered stand out is the blend of Korean and European, which is hard to find in Asia. The traditional image of the house ( Korean Hanok ) has been infused with a London-style charm, which has led to the creation of a hip and stylish atmosphere where couples or singles are able to enjoy time together. The interior has been well thought out, and it reminds me of a vintage feel, similar to what I would expect to feel in a small country town. The exposed brick walls show modern yet traditional elements and it helps the café create a cozy yet trendy feel, which stands out among other cafes in the area. The couple feels, and romantic vibe that came across strongly in this café created what could only be described as a K-drama moment , and for that simple reason, it has been chosen as Dojeon's Café of the Month for February, in line with a very special Valentine's holiday! Image: Layered Seoul - Lewis Hooper Address: 2-3, Bukchon-ro 2-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul 03059 South Korea. - « I'm Scared » : Jimin Shocks Fans with His Latest Update
In this new year , a lot of things became different with BTS members , even the way they talk to their fans! What's new? At the beginning of 2025, BTS's Jimin shared an update with his fans on Weverse . But this wasn’t just any message, it was a heartfelt reflection on his fears, thoughts about the future, his bond with Jungkook , what he’s certain about, and what makes him sad. Jimin’s words offered a deep look into his emotions and mindset while serving in the military. So, what exactly did he reveal? Let’s break it down. What is he scared of? An unforgettable stage moment (pinned from Pinterest) Jimin openly admits that he’s a little scared about returning to the stage. It’s been a while since he performed, and the thought of getting back into it makes him nervous. He shares, “It’s been quite a while since we performed together… I’m a bit scared.” This isn’t just about performing, it’s about the uncertainty of returning to something that’s been such a big part of his life. He’s been away from the stage and the fans, and, naturally, he’d feel unsure about how it will all come together when they finally do come back. What does he think about the future? An iconic music video moment (sourced from Pinterest) When Jimin talks about the future, he and Jungkook are having deep conversations about what’s to come. They’re excited, but also thinking ahead to everything they need to do to be ready when they return to ARMY . “We’re talking about what we need to prepare for before we meet again, what we’ll show in the future, and what kind of life we’ll live.” It’s clear that Jimin’s been reflecting a lot on not just BTS’s comeback , but his own life moving forward. He’s imagining what kind of life he wants to live, beyond just being an idol, and is planning for what’s next. How has his perspective changed? A rare military-era snapshot of Jimin (sourced from Pinterest) Jimin is now 29, and you can really feel how much he’s grown over time. He’s in a different place in life now, and the military has been a big factor in shaping how he sees the world. The way he talks about his daily routine, training, working, and exercising, shows how much he’s had to step away from the fast-paced, glamorous idol life and embrace something much more structured. He’s been away from the stage for a while, and it’s given him space to think about what matters to him. He and Jungkook’s late-night chats are no longer just about their music, but also about their future as people, and what kind of lives they want to build when they return. This new perspective is part of Jimin’s maturity as he’s getting older and facing different challenges in life. What’s common between him and Jungkook? A military service memory of Jimin & Jungkook One thing that stands out is how closely Jimin and Jungkook are going through this phase together. They’re both dealing with similar thoughts about their future and their return to ARMY . They’re having long conversations about what they need to prepare, and it’s clear they’re in sync about what’s ahead. They’re both looking forward to performing again and are determined to come back stronger than ever. What is he sure about? A captivating scene from BTS’s MV (pinned from Pinterest) Even though Jimin has these fears, there’s one thing he’s certain about: when he does return, he’s going to give ARMY everything he has. He says, “I don’t change my mind that we will give you the performance for all of you who have waited so long.” No matter how scared or uncertain he feels, Jimin is committed to working hard to make sure that when they return, it’s everything fans have been waiting for. What is he sad about? A captivating shot of Jimin from BTS' "ON" While Jimin doesn’t directly say he’s sad, it’s easy to see that he’s feeling the distance from ARMY. He misses them deeply, and the time away from performing has made him nostalgic and emotional. He says, “ARMY, who we miss and are just thankful for.” You can see that he really wants to be with them again. Being apart makes him feel a little distant, but he is also thankful for ARMY’s love and support. Jimin’s message shows both worry and growth. He feels nervous about going back on stage, but he is also determined to do well. His talks with Jungkook show that he is thinking in a new way about his future, not just as a singer, but as a person. Now, at 29, he looks back on his journey and thinks about what comes next. Through everything, he really misses ARMY and can't wait to see them again. What do you think about all of that? - Suzy and Kim Woo Bin Reunite in the Supernatural Rom-Com Drama "Genie Make a Wish"
First Look from Netflix's K-drama "Genie Make a Wish" Netflix has just dropped the first look at Genie Make a Wish and fans can’t contain their excitement! Suzy and Kim Woo Bin , who last starred together in the heart-wrenching Uncontrollably Fond (2016), are finally reuniting — but this time, in a comedy romance supernatural drama. Unlike their previous melodrama, which left viewers in tears, this upcoming series promises laughter, magic, and maybe even a happily ever after. A Fresh Take on Fantasy Romance Genie Make a Wish tells the story of a mystical genie, played by Kim Woo Bin, who is full of emotional extremes and constantly shifts between moods. Meanwhile, Suzy plays Ga Yeong, a woman who is completely indifferent to emotions — until she unexpectedly summons the genie and is granted three wishes. With 12 episodes scheduled for release in late 2025 on Netflix , this fantasy rom-com is already shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated dramas of the year. A Reunion Fans Have Been Waiting For This drama marks Suzy and Kim Woo Bin’s long-awaited reunion after Uncontrollably Fond , a series that left fans emotionally wrecked with its tragic ending. The chemistry between the two actors was undeniable, but the heartbreaking storyline made it difficult for viewers to enjoy their romance fully. Now, fans are eager to see them in a lighter, fun-filled setting where they can explore their playful side without an inevitable tearjerker finale. Will This Be Their Happy Ending? Iconic ending of K-drama "Uncontrollably Fond" (Credits: KBS) Given their past collaboration, the anticipation for Genie Make a Wish is through the roof. Fans are hoping that this time, their beloved couple will get a well-deserved happy ending — filled with romance, comedy, and a touch of fantasy. Will Suzy’s Ga Yeong finally open up to emotions? Will Woo Bin’s Genie grant the most unexpected wish of all — love? With Netflix’s backing and a stellar cast, Genie Make a Wish has all the ingredients for a must-watch drama.
