The wait is finally over—The Judge from Hell is returning for a second season! The official confirmation came from the CEO of the production team during a recent award speech at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, where the drama won a Bronze Award.

In the CEO’s own words :

We will be back soon with Season 2. As long as the law is unfair, The Judge from Hell will never stop.

That one line was enough to send fans into celebration mode. With Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young expected to return, expectations are higher than ever.

How The Judge from Hell Ended

In the finale, Kang Bit Na, the possessed judge bound by demon Justitia, is given a painful choice—either send 10 more sinners to hell or return to her position in the underworld as Bael’s heir.

Surprisingly, she decides to remain in the human world, hinting at her intention to punish ten more sinners. But the final scene is ambiguous. Some fans believe she may have also accepted Lucifer’s offer to become fully human and be with Han Da-on. The show leaves her fate open-ended, sparking debates online.

The Ratings Say It All

Season 1 didn’t just trend—it dominated. It closed out with the highest finale ratings for any 2024 drama, and that’s no small feat. From fan-favorite scenes to thought-provoking court battles, the show had everything viewers love in a K-drama.

It also earned major awards, including:

  • Best Couple (Park Shin Hye × Kim Jae Young)

  • Top Excellence Actor (Kim Jae Young)

  • Director’s Award for innovative storytelling

This recognition only strengthens fans' belief that Season 2 has massive potential.

What to Expect in Season 2

The Season 1 finale left several questions unanswered, fueling fan theories about the direction of Season 2:

  • Bit Na’s emotional transformation—She started as a cold, cruel judge, but by the end, she showed human emotions like guilt, empathy, and even tears. Could these emotions threaten her identity as a judge in Season 2?

  • Will her humanity become her weakness? Her bond with Da On could bring conflict between justice and love.

  • A darker arc ahead? If she accepted Bael’s deal in secret, she might eventually be forced back to hell—or become its ruler.

There's also buzz about introducing new supernatural entities or even a rival judge who challenges Bit Na’s authority.

When Can We Expect Season 2?

While there’s no confirmed premiere date, industry trends suggest a late 2025 or early 2026 release. Since the team has already confirmed their return, production updates should follow soon.
