2024's breakout hit, Lovely Runner, catapulted Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon to mega-stardom. The story follows devoted fangirl Im Sol (played by Kim Hye Yoon), who travels back in time to prevent her idol, Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), from taking his own life. Equal parts hilarious and heartwarming, the drama is powered by the electric chemistry between its leads and a timeless soundtrack that lingers long after the credits roll. Fittingly, the series premiered in April, right at the start of peak summer last year.



2. Our Beloved Summer (2021)

Well, it does have “summer” in the title - need we say more? Jokes aside, Our Beloved Summer is a heartfelt coming-of-age story starring Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi. The drama follows an ex-couple who are unexpectedly reunited when a documentary they filmed during their high school days suddenly goes viral, pulling them back into each other's lives as adults. With its warm, nostalgic vibe and emotionally layered storytelling, Our Beloved Summer has summer written all over it - literally and figuratively. And just like the season itself, sometimes things need to heat up a little for true love to bloom.



3. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021)

La La La Romantic Sunday… It’s been four years since this charming drama first warmed our hearts, and we still can’t stop humming its iconic tune. Riding high on Kim Seon Ho’s breakout fame after Start-Up, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha tells the story of Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah), an uptight dentist from Seoul who spontaneously relocates to the quaint seaside village of Gongjin. There, she meets the beloved local jack-of-all-trades, Hong Du Sik (Kim Seon Ho) a no-nonsense, kind-hearted man known affectionately as 'Chief Hong'. 4. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (2016)
