BTS V Opens Up About ARMY: “I Feel Most Like Myself on Stage”
Sometimes everything just clicks, and for BTS V, that moment comes when he steps onto a stage. With the lights on, the music playing, and ARMY watching, he gets to leave the noise behind and simply be himself.
In the Autumn 2026 issue of Dazed, V opened up about what performance means to him, how he keeps himself grounded, and the people who continue to remind him why he started this journey in the first place. “I feel most like myself on stage, when I'm able to express who I am through performance,” he said. Read on as we dive more into what he said!
For V, performing is clearly more than just getting in front of a crowd. It gives him a space to express himself and connect through music in a way that feels natural to him. After all these years, that feeling still seems to be just as special.
But when life starts moving too fast, V has learned that sometimes the best thing to do is simply slow down and enjoy where he is. “What helps me stay grounded when everything moves so quickly is learning to appreciate the present moment,” he shared.
And of course, ARMY remains a huge part of that journey. “The ARMY reminded me why I chose this path and helps me remember the passion that started my journey in the first place,” V added.

That might just be one of the sweetest things about V's perspective. No matter how much his career grows or how many stages he gets to stand on, he still remembers the feeling that started it all.
For V, staying grounded does not seem complicated. It is about enjoying the moment, expressing himself through music, and remembering the people who have been there along the way. And honestly, ARMY will probably be very happy to know they still have that special place in his heart.
