Gangwon-do, a province in the northeast of South Korea, is just about 2 hours from Seoul by car or bus. Famous for its stunning mountains, ski resorts, and beautiful East Sea beaches, it’s the perfect place for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. You can hike in Seoraksan National Park in the morning and relax by the sea in the evening.
People often call Gangwon-do a “healing place” because of its fresh air, peaceful vibe, and breathtaking landscapes. It’s also famous worldwide for hosting the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. But beyond sports and nature, Gangwon-do is home to many iconic K-drama filming spots, letting fans walk through the scenes they love on screen.

1) Goblin (2016–2017)

Goblin is a fantasy-romance about an immortal goblin, Gong Yoo, and his destined bride, played by Kim Go-eun. One of the drama’s most famous scenes, where Kim Go-eun receives a bouquet from Gong Yoo, was filmed in Gangwon-do.
