When Autumn hits and the sun goes down, Korea becomes an enormous playground filled with high-tech scare zones, dazzling displays, and unforgettable Halloween experiences for the whole family. Despite Korea being fairly new to the Halloween concept, the holiday season here offers something unique.

5 Places to Visit for Halloween in Korea

1. Itaewon (Seoul)

Although Itaewon had a tragic incident in the past, it is now probably one of the safest neighborhoods to visit on Halloween because of this.

Known for being the number one place to party on Halloween, it stands as the symbolic heartbeat of the country's autumn festivities. Here you can party hard, enjoy endless Halloween costumes parading the streets, and amazing classic bars and restaurants without leaving the city.

Cost & Location: Free to walk the streets; located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and it is easily accessible by subway.

2. Hongdae (Seoul)

Hongdae is a university hub when it comes to Halloween, as well as being known as the tourist party capital of Korea. Hongdae is well known for having massive street performances, brilliant cosplay, and pop-inspired looks all around.

Many dance clubs and bars are also located in Hongdae, making it a contender for a party and a good night! What's even better is that visiting the area, it is free and easily accessible from Seoul Station and pretty much all over Seoul.

  • Cost & Location: Free to explore the neighborhood; located in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Easily accessible via subway.

3. Lotte World (Seoul)

If you are in Seoul this Halloween, then head to Lotte World. Despite being a small theme park, it is in the heart of the city, which makes it easily accessible.

Lotte World, although small, puts on a large-scale classic amusement park scare fest that is worth experiencing. On top of this, there are legendary rides, thrilling zombie zones, performances, and night parades that are fun for the family!

Everland is Korea's largest theme park, and if you want to experience Halloween on a scale like never before, then this is the place to be!

Everland is well known for having massive Halloween displays, including light shows, enormous pumpkins, walkthrough scare paths, and high-level Halloween performances.

If you are in Korea's fourth-biggest city, Daegu, then you should totally check out E-World and the 83 Tower this year. This magical theme park transforms into a spooky Halloween festival that offers fun for all the family. On top of this, there is also a free fireworks show near the 83 Tower on October 31st, an event that our writer Lewis Hooper will be attending! This event promises to be packed with beautiful fall scenery, fun pop-up holiday zones and a fireworks show that you will remember for a long time!
