Congratulations to Lisa from BLACKPINK just won "Best K-pop" at this year's MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards)! The girls from BLACKPINK made history as they performed their new single "Pink Venom" for the first time at MTV awards show which aired on Sunday, August 28.
Lisa won "Best K-pop" for her "Lalisa" music video which made her the first female solo K-pop artist to be nominated for a VMA. Lisa stood up surprised as she walked to the stage to receive her award! She was cheered on by the rest of her bandmates as she accepted the award speechless!
BLACKPINK also won "Best Metaverse" performance with their collaboration with PUGB Mobile called "The Virtual". This was the first year that this category has been included in the awards show.
