The show, which stars Bae In-hyuk as Sun Tae-hyung and Roh Jeong-eui as Woo Hyun-jin, originally won hearts with its story of two in-laws raising their orphaned nephew Woo-ju together while healing from loss. But the recent episodes have shifted focus to a love triangle involving the second male lead, Park Seoham, leaving viewers frustrated.

Fans on platforms like Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter) have called the triangle “unnecessary,” “forced,” and said it undermines the show’s original warmth.

Many are annoyed that the second male lead’s interference steals the spotlight from the main couple and overshadows the adorable family moments with baby Woo-ju. Viewers also point out the female lead’s indecision, the male lead’s excessive suffering, and how the story has moved from heartfelt co-parenting to predictable romance clichés.

Even Korean audiences are speaking out, criticizing the second lead’s heavy presence so late in the series. Trending comments include “Tae-hyung deserves better,” “Baby Woo-ju is the only reason to watch,” and calls for more scenes focusing on the uncle-nephew bond.

Here are a couple of reactions from the audience, take a look:
