- Our Favorite Moments from "Weak Hero Class 1" While Waiting for Season 2 ! Coming Soon!
As we eagerly anticipate the release of Weak Hero Class 2 premiering on April 25, 2025, it's the perfect time to reflect on some of the most impactful moments from the first season of this gripping Korean drama. Weak Hero Class 1 has formed an emotional bond with audiences with its raw portrayal of school bullying, complex friendships, and the resilience of youth. Here are some standout scenes that left a lasting impression! Episode 1: Su Ho Stands Up for His Classmates Weak Hero Class 1 (Credits: Wavve) Right from the start, Su Ho proves he's not one to stay silent. When he witnesses members of the baseball club harassing others, he steps in without hesitation. This is our first look at his fierce loyalty and moral compass traits, which will shape his journey throughout the series. Episode 2: The First Taste of Real Friendship Weak Hero Class 1 (Credits: Wavve) Si Eun, Su Ho, and Beom Seok share a meal, giving us a brief glimpse of normalcy. It's a light moment that contrasts sharply with the tension to come. Watching them laugh over food felt like a rare breath of fresh air in an otherwise intense story. Episode 6: Su Ho training Si Eun to fight Weak Hero Class 1 (Credits: Wavve) One of the most heartfelt moments comes when Su Ho wakes up early to train Si Eun. Believing that Si Eun is smart but physically vulnerable, Su Ho wants to make sure he can defend himself without getting hurt again. There’s no reward or obligation here, just pure friendship. What makes this moment even more special is that Si Eun, who rarely lets people in, quietly follows Su Ho’s lead without question. Episode 8: Si Eun's Breaks Down with Su Ho's Grandmother Weak Hero Class 1 (Credits: Wavve) After losing so much, Si Eun visits Su Ho’s grandmother. When she gently asks how he’s doing, Si Eun finally lets his emotions show. The weight of grief, guilt, and exhaustion all pour out in silence and tears. Episode 8: A Fist Through Glass Weak Hero Class 1 (Credits: Wavve) In one of the most intense scenes, Si Eun punches a glass window in frustration. Blood, rage, and helplessness all collide in that moment. His quiet, composed persona shatters, leaving only raw emotion. This scene alone resonates with many viewers who fought a silent battle daily. Episode 8: A Classroom Bathed in Sunlight Before everything falls apart, there's a moment of peace. The three boys sit in a classroom, enjoying each other's company in the soft sunlight. It’s one of the most visually poetic scenes, hinting at what could have been if circumstances were kinder. Weak Hero Class 1 (Credits: Wavve) As Weak Hero Class 2 gears up for its premiere on April 25, fans are buzzing with questions. Will Su Ho return, and if so, in what state after everything that happened? His comeback could shake up everything Si Eun is about to face. With Si Eun now entering a new school, he’s no longer the quiet student of the class, he’s stepping in as someone battle-tested, yet still scarred. New friends might offer support, but new enemies are guaranteed. Which storyline are you most curious about in the upcoming season — Su Ho’s return or Si Eun’s new challenges? #WeakHeroClass1 #WeakHeroClass2 #ParkJiHoon #ChoiHyunWook #HongKyung
- Korea-Philippines Lantern Display Lights Up the Holiday Season
(Parol and Jinju Silk Lantern display at NCCA (left), and KCC (right) building) Celebrate the holidays with the luminous beauty of lanterns! As the country welcomes the most festive time of the year, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) proudly present ‘ Light the Season: A Korea-Philippines Lantern Display ’, running from December 2, 2025 to January 6, 2026 at the façade and lobby of the NCCA building in Intramurals and at the ground floor of the KCC in Taguig. The display celebrates the Philippines’ iconic Christmas traditions through a vibrant display of parol and Jinju silk lanterns, highlighting the rich craftsmanship and cultural heritage shared by both countries. Bringing back the enchantment of the ‘Lights of Korea: Jinju Silk Lanterns’ exhibition, which ran from May to July this year at KCC, this showcase once again exhibits the exquisite artistry of lanterns crafted from fine Korean silk originating from Jinju in Gyeongsangnam-do Province . Each piece offers a captivating interplay of light, color, and tradition, embodying the timeless beauty of Korea’s lantern-making heritage. Complementing these are iconic Filipino parols - a cherished symbol of Christmas. Traditionally shaped like a star, the parol decorates homes, streets, and communities across the Philippines during the holiday season. Its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and handcrafted details reflect the festive warmth of the Filipino people. (‘Light the Season’ Lighting Ceremony) An opening ceremony was held last December 1 at the NCCA building lobby to officially illuminate the lantern display. KCC Director Kim Myeong-jin emphasized “Christmas holds significant meaning in the Philippines, and it is an honor to display Jinju silk lanterns with the Filipino symbol of Christmas, parol”. While NCCA Deputy Executive Director for Operations Bernan Joseph Corpuz shared “the idea of collaborating the Jinju silk lantern with parol now came to life, and it truly offers us a glimpse of continued partnership between Korea and the Philippines”. The ceremony was further enriched by a Pansori (Korean traditional singing) and Gayageum (Korean traditional string instrument) performance featuring traditional Korean pieces as well as a Christmas song, setting a festive atmosphere. (Parol making workshop) In addition to the opening program, a special workshop was organized to deepen the appreciation of the lantern traditions of both countries. Participants attended an informative lecture about Jinju silk lanterns. They took part in a hands-on parol-making activity led by invited artist Harvey San Miguel, offering them a meaningful and creative way to experience the craft firsthand. Beyond their illuminating beauty, this first-ever pairing of Jinju silk lanterns with the Filipino parol tells a shared story - a story of creativity and the enduring friendship between Korea and the Philippines. The KCC and NCCA invite everyone to experience this display at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts Building in Intramurals, Manila, from Mondays to Thursdays, 9 AM to 8 PM*, and at the Korean Cultural Center in Taguig City from Mondays to Saturdays, 9 AM to 4 PM. *NCCA lobby display runs from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, façade display runs from 5:45 PM to 8 PM Warmest wishes for a bright, joyful, and culturally enriching holiday season for all!

We break down the great finale and give you our thoughts! *Spoilers! Ending in heartwarming satisfaction, the finale of Not Others gave us the feels and made us call our own mothers!
