So what can K-drama fans expect from the plot of the show?
K-drama fans get ready to get swept off your feet in an immersive, yet mysterious tale about a simmering romance. In this new period show, you will be thrown into a captivating world of the Joseon Era, trying to figure out the disappearance of Hong Rang, who is the son of a merchant.
While on this desperate quest, years seem to pass, and just when you may start losing hope, it seems that Hong Rang returns as a changed, but somewhat haunted man, by the heavy secrets that he has been carrying for so long!
His reappearance ignites a powerful emotional storm with Jae Yi, blurring the lines of their past. From the moment a grown Hong Rang steps back into their lives, it is clear that this period of the thrilling new drama is set to unveil his hidden and most darkest secrets. I literally cannot wait!

Meet the Cast of Dear Hongrang
This drama literally could not get more exciting, as it has a star studded line up to keep YOU entertained throughout the season.
Jo Bo Ah, is set to bring the character of Jae Yi to life in this new series. Now, her role is also ground breaking since it is her first lead role for a Netflix original drama. In previous appearances and roles that she has undertaken, she has gained significant support for her work and you may recognize her from popular K-dramas such as My Strange Hero and Tale of the Nine-Tailed.
Another upcoming star is Lee Jae Wook, who will play the role of Hong Rang. Of course, this star has sent K-drama fans' hearts racing back in 2022 in the series Alchemy of Souls, so we wonder what he will bring to this season!
As Min Yeon Ui in Dear Hongrang, Uhm Ji Won takes on her first leading role in a Netflix K-drama, following her guest appearance in the film Jung E.
Park Byung Eun will also take on the role of Shim Yeol Guk, and Kim Jae Wook is set to portray Prince Han Pyeong, representing his very first role in a Netflix Original K-drama. This lineup could not get much better!
