Euphoria in Every Drop: Celebrating Jungkook’s Birthday with a Life-Giving Tradition

…and this August, that Euphoria comes in the form of blood bags, compassion, and community love. Join the Dojeon Media team, the Filipino ARMY, and the Philippine Red Cross, as we continue our annual life-saving tradition in the name of BTS!
As Golden Maknae Jeon Jungkook of BTS turns a year older, Filipino ARMYs are once again proving that purple blood runs deep— and it gives, too. Marking its fourth year, the annual blood-letting drive organized by BFM Jungkookies (an OT7 Jungkook-biased PH ARMYs) is back with the same mission: save lives, one drop at a time.
Four Years, Countless Lives
Back in 2022, what started as a humble effort born from pandemic urgency collected around 80 bags of blood— a number that doubled the following year to 169, proving that ARMYs don’t just stream songs— they show up.
In 2024, despite the long weekend (and some chaotic vacation plans), the event still pulled in 143 generous donations.
As if that wasn’t enough to make our hearts swell like Jungkook hitting a high note, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) awarded this purple-blooded initiative with a Diploma of Service last July 2024. This recognition is granted to partners who’ve donated an accumulated 200 bags of blood— and yep, we hit that milestone thanks to your steady, loving pulse.
More Than Just a Celebration
This year’s theme, “Euphoria in Every Drop", echoes the joyful giving spirit that ARMYs carry— because what better way to celebrate Jungkook than by honoring the life-loving, heart-first values he (and BTS) live by? After all, this is the guy who co-wrote ‘My You’ and made us all cry over every lyric. Of course, we'd bleed purple for him.
Inspired by Jungkook’s quiet generosity and BTS's legacy of kindness, the blood drive doesn’t just celebrate a birthday— it saves lives. In 2024 alone, just days after the event, three patients received blood from this very drive. That's three families given a little more time, a little more hope— all because YOU showed up.
United by Heart, Fueled by Kindness
This event is led by the ever-growing family of Borahae From Manila (BFM) members and volunteers— yes, including our amazing doctor ARMYs, nurses, med students, and even a few non-medical members who just wanted to help out because that’s what Jungkook would do. The group continues to grow, echoing the message that fandom doesn’t end at stanning— it extends to service.
And if Jungkook taught us anything, it’s that it’s cool to be kind, strong to be soft, and powerful to care.
So, what’s next for “Euphoria in Every Drop”?
Simple: more blood, more love, and more ARMYs stepping forward with rolled-up sleeves, hearts full of purpose, and playlists blasting ‘Still With You’ as they save lives.
