How to Get There
Geomundo Island is located right in the south of the country. To access this island, you will first need to head to the coastal city of Yeosu, which you can easily access by car or via one of the many KTX trains.
From Yeosu, you will need to catch a ferry from the Yeosu Coastal Ferry Terminal direct to Geomundo Island, which will take around 2–2.5 hours; a one-way ticket costs around 45,000 won (USD 30.00), which is a really good price compared to train prices in the UK.

My time on the island was simply amazing! For me, the most unforgettable part was the natural and beautiful landscapes. Every aspect of the island has a more simplistic way of life, which is a great way to unwind and switch off. The crystal-clear waters are also simply refreshing, and the deep blue waters create the perfect backdrop. Compared to more famous Korean islands such as Jeju, I found this island to be a lot more simplistic and natural, while at the same time having all of the amenities that you need.
