K-pop music legend Jay Park has officially unveiled his new girl group! Yes, you read that right! Jay Park's highly anticipated new girl group, KEYVEATZ, could shift the K-pop industry in a new direction, thanks to Jay Park's very own hip-hop roots and international audience. So, who are the members?
The Group's Style
The style of KEYVEATZ will be very different from the traditional and safe K-pop style that many of us have come to love. KEYVEATZ will become known for their more raw and underground vibe. This is thanks to their mix of Western R&B and high-energy K-pop choreography. This very different and unique style is one that the Dojeon Media team is beyond excited about! Their hip-hop and street culture image, although it might look unfinished and unclean to some K-pop fans, is a style many of us love. This alternative style is one that will really shake the industry up. For the better? Who knows?
Meet the Members
Son Juone
Son Juone is a Korean-born member of the group and a former contestant on the highly popular I-LAND 2: N/α, and she is currently majoring in Waacking at Hanlim Arts School.
Her position in the band is being the oldest member and having a lot of influence on the other girls. Son Juone is set to bring her energetic, positive vibe to the band, as well as her vibrant style that really catches your eye! We cannot wait to see her in action!
Newy
Next up is Newy, a Japanese-born member of the group! Newy was actually a trainee under WAKEONE and Avex Management, and she gained a lot of attention on I-LAND 2: N/α thanks to her awesome rapping ability.
Being a highly skilled rapper, she is set to bring balance to the group, as well as her playful personality, which we cannot wait to see more of! Not to mention the fashion-forward styling that really does make her stand out!
Kang Yeseul
Born in Busan is Kang Yeseul. Now, Kang Yeseul is actually a multi-talented performer who is known for her piano skills. We wonder if they will be featured in some of the tracks?
Kang Yeseul is going to bring her authentic, soulful vibe to the mix, and having an MBTI of INFP, will her more outgoing side come out as she becomes more comfortable on camera? We cannot wait to watch her grow!
Kim Yuna
Korean-born Kim Yuna is well known for her naturally expressive on-stage presence, thanks to her confidence. She is also known for self-producing some of her tracks in the past, when she was a former Hi-Hat Entertainment trainee.
Kim Yuna will for sure bring her underground roots and edgy vibe to the K-pop scene as well as the group. This is something that we cannot wait to see. For a while now, the K-pop industry has needed more edgy acts.
Um Jione
Next up is Um Jione, another Korean member of the group. Um Jione was actually a trainee under Source Music and WAKEONE, and was actually the youngest contestant on I-LAND 2: N/α.
Being the youngest member of the group is no big deal for Um Jione. She has a bold and modern outlook that can be seen in her edgy styling and dance skills.
Final Thoughts
The Dojeon Media team cannot wait to see what KEYVEATZ brings to the K-pop industry. With the backing of Jay Park, we know that the finished and polished product (music and group) will be strongly put together. KEYVETZ is scheduled to debut on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 6 PM KST with their EP OXY_GEN. Could KEYVEATZ become a new benchmark for upcoming groups and acts in the future?
