This is not your average Joseon Dynasty drama!
The majority of period K-dramas are set during the Joseon Dynasty (the golden time) of Korean history. But Queen Woo takes a surprising and interesting take on Korean history as it takes place during the Goguryeo era (37 B.C. - A.D. 668). During this ancient period, Korea was divided into tribes where warlords would battle their neighboring tribes for territory and power. This is when Queen Woo takes place to give you a more historical context. You can read more about it here.
With such a talented cast and a unique look into ancient Korea with a time limit, we can't wait to watch Queen Woo! The set and costumes look amazing and we hope that the writers will be true to history so that we can learn more about this intriguing period!
