K-Dramas Go Big: CJ ENM and Warner Bros Discovery Team Up To Deliver Originals on HBO Max Across Asia-Pacific! Here’s What It Means for You!

CJ ENM, the studio behind Parasite and hit drama series like Crash Landing on You, has officially partnered with Warner Bros Discovery to co-produce original dramas. HBO Max will become the home for TVING series across the Asia-Pacific markets.

Starting in early 2026, HBO Max subscribers in 17 markets, including Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, will receive a branded TVING hub, according to The Deadline. This hub will feature new drama titles as well as CJ ENM’s extensive library of scripted and unscripted content. Ahead of the full launch, fans can catch the premiere of Dear X on November 6.

“We are proud to partner with Warner Bros. Discovery, a global powerhouse whose stories have inspired audiences for generations worldwide,” said Miky Lee, Vice Chairwoman of CJ Group.

“K-content captivates audiences everywhere with its creativity and originality. At CJ ENM, our mission has always been to connect people through the power of storytelling. This partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery takes that mission to a new level, combining Warner Bros. Discovery’s storytelling legacy with CJ’s unique voice. Together, we will deliver authentic narratives that transcend borders on a platform where fans can discover new favorites, revisit timeless classics, and experience the best in global content."

Binge-Worthy Original Dramas Rolling Out Across HBO Max

The partnership will roll out hundreds of hours of original dramas on HBO Max, co-produced by CJ ENM and Warner Bros. Discovery.

This follows CJ ENM’s previous collaborations with Netflix, Skydance Television, Prime Video, and Disney. Studio Dragon, CJ ENM’s drama arm, has delivered massive hits like It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Stranger, and Mr. Sunshine.

“HBO Max is the streaming destination for unique, premium storytelling, so this partnership with CJ ENM, a leader in the enormously popular K-content genre, aligns perfectly with our strategy and brand,” said JB Perrette, CEO of global streaming and games at WBD, as per CJ enm website.

A Global Storytelling Powerhouse

The deal also includes co-investing in and co-producing new dramas for worldwide audiences. David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, emphasized the significance of the partnership, “We are honored to partner with CJ ENM, a true leader in creating universally popular stories that resonate worldwide. This collaboration marks a cornerstone of our commitment to great locally relevant stories in key markets around the world.”
