Seoraksan National Park
This national park is one of Dojeon team member Lewis Hooper's favorite areas in Korea, and it is also Korea's most iconic fall foliage spot. Welcoming visitors with it's dramatic peaks and deep valleys, this is one of the earliest places in Korea to experience the beautiful autumn colors this year.
Seoraksan National Park also has a cable car to take you directly to the peak if you do not fancy the hike up, and there are also temples and restaurants and coffee shops on site as well.
Naejangsan National Park

This National Park is known for its fiery red maple tunnels and peaceful temples, not to mention the amazing waterfalls. The peak at Naejangsan is a very photogenic spot, and it's actually known as one of Korea's top foliage destinations. It is, however predicted that the foliage will hit its peak around early to mid-November this year.
Jirisan National Park

Jirisan National Park spreads through most regions in Korea, and this park is well known for its peaceful and colorful foliage trails, especially Piagolgyegok Valley, which is home to some of its best colors. These are expected to come out around mid-October, offering some of the best foliage photos in Korea.
This National Park also has a variety of temples and mountains for visitors to enjoy and lose themselves in. The Dojeon team would love it if you could tag us in some of your photos from this spot if youvisit this year.
Hallasan Mountain
Located on Jeju Island, Mount Halla offers visitors a golden landscape to indulge themselves in the amazing craters with some of the best views. In fact, Mount Halla has a volcanic landscape which has beautiful trails as a center piece for Autumn in Korea.
Since this mountain is not on the mainland it is less crowded than some of the other destinations to experience the foliage, and as a result it offers some of the most idyllic and peaceful getaways.
Seoul Forest
Located in the heart of Seoul, and one of the more easier destinations to visit to experience the autumn foliage.
Seoul Forest is home to some beautiful deer, other farm animals, and has a variety of cafés, convenience stores and picnic sites if the weather is not too cold. This destination is one of the more crowded places on our foliage list, though depending on the time of day that you visit, you will enjoy lots of photo spots without leaving the city, so Seoul Forest offers a peaceful stroll in late October to early November.
