- 3 Reasons Why "My Perfect Stranger" Should Be At The Top Of Your Watchlist!
Regret, family, and murder. These are all emotions that all of us feel and wish we can get a "do-over" and murder, well, is murder. KBS 2 's My Perfect Stranger takes over for Oasis 's Monday/Tuesday line up and here are three reasons why it should be at the top of your watchlist! Yoon Hae Joon ( Kim Dong Wook Sh**ting Stars 2022) is the youngest news anchor to work at his broadcasting station. He is a calm and straightforward guy who only looks at the facts. Baek Yoon Young ( Jin Ki Joo Sh**ting Stars 2022) dreams of becoming a writer, but supports herself by working at a publishing company working for high-profile authors. She takes out her stress on her mother. At first, Hae Joon and Yoon Young have nothing in common, but a serial killer case and the tragic suicide by Yoon Young's mother are brought together by the same objectives. Hae Joon tries to find the real culprit behind a small village serial killer case and Yoon Young tries to prevent her parents from marrying BACK IN THE YEAR 1987! This time-traveling mystery thriller drama has much to offer as both characters are stuck in the year 1987 because their time machine just broke! Here are three reasons why you MUST WATCH My Perfect Stranger ! 1. Regret How many times have you regretted your decisions or looked back and felt that the outcome would be completely different based on your decision? Especially, if that decision meant that you could see your mother again. Yoon Young deeply regrets not treating her mother well since she takes out her work stress on her. Her mother, meanwhile, does everything for Yoon Young including getting pushed down while standing in line to buy some shoes for her. This is the last time Yoon Young gets a chance to talk to and see her mother as that evening, Yoon Young receives some terrifying news that her mother has committed suicide. Yoon Young has a chance to redeem herself as she meets Hae Joon and his time-traveling car. She gets zoomed back into 1987 when her mother was still a high school student and does her best to prevent her parents from getting married. 2. Long lost mother/daughter relationship How many times have we mistreated our parents or thought they were annoying? I'm sure countless times for most people. Despite Yoon Young's mother's eagerness to always care for her daughter, Yoon Young always feels embarrassed whenever her mother and father are around. The fact that Yoon Young gets a second shot at redeeming a fruitful mother/daughter relationship is refreshing and makes us take a look at ourselves and how we treat our parents. 3. Murder There's a serial killer on the loose! Hae Joon finds out that he will die a year from now and the reason is that the real culprit behind the 1987 Woojung-Ri serial murders is the one that kills him. He is determined to find the real culprit in order to save himself! The serial killer aspect of this story keeps us entertained and on our toes, as Hae Joon struggles to put the pieces together behind his death. If you were put in Hae Joon's shoes, would you be doing everything in your power to stop your death date from happening? Let us know your thoughts on this new exciting drama! #myperfectstranger #jinkijoo #kimdongwook
- Our Theory On "Pandora: Beneath the Paradise's" Astonishing Finale!
Hold on to your hats K-drama fans! tvN 's Pandora: Beneath the Paradise ends with a wild twist as it captures the number one spot! We break down what actually happened to sort out any confusion! Let's take a look at what happened in the finale! Spoilers! Just when you thought the ending was nicely wrapped and ready to be sent off in a neat fashion, "bang!" Pandora hits us with another surprise ending! When all hope is lost, we thought Pyo Jae Hyun ( Lee Sang Yoon ) would quietly accept his fate as the odds were stacked against him with prison time and the loss of a presidency. As the cast literally was playing mind games with him by installing a chip in his head to make him think he was reliving hell over and over, an accident led by Min Young Hwi (Jang Do Jin's mother), lets him escape the lab that he was being held captive. Jae Hyun rushes over to the townhouse where Go Hae Soo ( Jang Hee Jin ) is helping Tae Ra ( Lee Ji Ah ) pack for a new life in Switzerland. He takes her captive and uses her as bait to lure Tae Ra back into his life. As they meet by the beach where Jae Hyun rescued Tae Ra years ago and made her into "Hong Tae Ra", a mannequin dressed as Hae Soo is seated strapped to a chair with a bomb stuck to it. Tae Ra doing everything she can to save her best friend is lured into the trap and ends up with the gun she carried to her head. Held by her maniacal husband! As Jae Hyun threatens to take Tae Ra's life, he actually ends up shooting himself in the head and falls off the cliff! A few years later, we see Tae Ra and her daughter living in Switzerland. A sudden knock on the door reveals that the visitor is Jang Gyo Jin! But we know that Gyo Jin's face was covered with burn marks since the explosion so that alerted us that something was suspicious! As Tae Ra leads Gyo Jin to the bedroom to unpack his things, she forgets that he needs a towel and retrieves one. As she opens the door to the bedroom, she catches a glimpse of Gyo Jin's back covered in thunder scars, just like Jae Hyun's back she saw earlier in the season! That's when everything made sense and here is our theory! We think that the gun Jae Hyun shot himself with was a blank and he fell off the cliff on purpose to make everyone think that he "died". But in fact, he took a couple of years to do facial reconstructive surgery to look like Gyo Jin, without the scars. Since Jae Hyun said that he would do anything to be in Tae Ra's life, this all makes sense! And now, Tae Ra is stuck in the same house as her ex-husband! Wow! What a dramatic and crazy ending! We loved the twist that this drama decided to go with! Let us know your thoughts and your theories on what happened in the finale! #pandorabeneaththeparadiseep16 #pandorabeneaththeparadise #leejiah #leesangyoon

- Where is J-Hope? (BTS Jin has the answer!)
BTS 's seven members: RM , Jin , Suga , J-Hope , Jimin , V , and Jungkook , have millions of fans worldwide, recently their members dropped to only 5 after the departure of J-Hope . In this article, we will tell you what happened through BTS Jin who has the answer! Since their debut in 2013, the South Korean boy band, BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys is consist of 7 members. All the members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, have topped the charts with their catchy pop music, collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, and grown one of the largest fanbases named ARMYs . Although the members indeed have their apartments, they do still live together. In many interviews, even a few recent ones, the members have said that they all still live together. It just logically makes more sense for them to still live together while they are a group, seeing that their entire lives are influenced by their jobs. They write music daily, create melodies, and mess around which can potentially lead to something in the future... They do everything together. But, BTS members were required to complete their military service in South Korea, meaning the band must take a hiatus until 2025. BTS must take a break for a few years while the members complete their military service, a requirement all able-bodied men between 18 and 28 years old must fulfill in South Korea. Jin, the oldest member of BTS, was the first in the group to enlist since he was turning 30 the last December of 2022. And this was the first departure in the group and made BTS's last song they made together was " Yet To Come " and his last solo single song was, " The Astronaut ", which was co-written by Chris Martin of Coldplay, in October 2022. Not too much time, J-Hope Becomes The Second Member Of BTS To Enlist In The Korean Military. He has officially enlisted in the military, and all of BTS was there, including Jin, who is currently serving in the military. According to a report by Allkpop news, J-Hope will enlist at the Baekho New Corps of the 36th Infantry Division as an active-duty soldier. He will receive a basic military education and training for about five weeks before serving in the army. ● BTS official account tweeted : ● And before this tweet Jhope uploaded a post on Weverse saying : “I love you ARMY, I’ll be back safely” J-Hope wrote on his social media accounts on Monday night, sharing this news with everyone and a photo of himself with his hair shaved, saluting in front of the camera. It was confirmed that J-hope entered the base 7 minutes before the 2 pm deadline with all of his members including Jin. J-Hope was surrounded by All the members with a buzz cut. In particular, the most notable member was Jin, who joined the army first among BTS last year. Jin requested time off from his military duties to see J-Hope off, showing off the group’s close relationship. ● And this was the other members' reaction when they saw Jin came taking a day off to send off Jhope : BTS Jimin and Jungkook tried to lighten up the mood by reasoning that they won't cry for J-Hope's departure so as not to make Jin feel sad. 🐿 They said Jin hyung is coming. He took a leave 🐹👋🏻 🐯 Aigo! 🐥 Your hair has gotten longer 🐰 Wow hyung you really look like your dad 🐿 Why do you become this cool? So cool 🐨 So cool hyung 🐿 No but hyung’s body also got really nice. In the video, J-Hope appears in his buzz-cut hair. All of his other group members are seen mesmerized by his short hair look. All of the members kept asking J-Hope to think about them whenever possible during his mandatory military training. Meanwhile, Jin enters the scene, although he is not shown in the video, he, as per previous pictures, arrived in his army uniform. J-Hope gets excited to see Jin after a long time and instantly salutes him as a sign of respect. J-Hope saluted him as soon as he came, this is where the tears started welling up, and seeing Namjoon cry make it very emotional! Many ARMY s were waiting for them to show Jin here but then realized they probably aren't allowed to be on videos and broadcasts while they're serving in the military. Jin took a day off specifically for J-hope to send him off since he’s in his military uniform with the “ Assistant Drill Instructor“ written on it. He took a five-hour round trip to just show up and show J-hope his support and love. The meeting was probably less than 30 minutes, and he also knew that he was not going to be shown in BangTan Bomb, but he still wanted to show up and show his friendship. Soldiers are given limited vacation time to use just like any workplace, and Jin used up his own vacation time to go to see J-hope. He is an optimist, who likes to keep himself and others around him happy! BTS Jin come back to IG and posted two photos on his Instagram account for J-Hope. Jin likes to be the center of attention but Kim Seokjin doesn’t: Jin who asked Graham Norton where the camera is, or who blows kisses at every person, or who tells everyone how handsome he is, is only a persona. It’s that almost comically confident and exaggerated guy he created for the fans. But when you give Kim Seokjin too many compliments, his ears turn red and his body posture is shy. Maybe he has become more like Jin lately, or maybe Jin has become more like Seokjin, but he seems to be searching for a balance between those two different guys. A very good older brother figure towards him. Overall, Jin is close to all the members in different and unique ways which is why it makes him perfect for the role of the oldest Hyung in BTS. All BTS members are very close to one another. Jin and J-Hope energize and hype one another which is a great way to come closer to one another and have fun. We can’t describe how incredibly awesome and genuine human being Jin is! He is such a great friend! All of the members kept asking J-Hope to think about them whenever possible during his mandatory military training. But J-Hope does not need them to ask him that because he always thinks about them In a previous interview, he said that while his solo career has been "fun" and "challenging," he misses his bandmates, explaining that his rehearsals can sometimes feel "lonely." [#Bangtan_Bomb] BTS behind the scenes of J-Hope joining the military service and the moment he bid farewell ● You can watch the full YouTube video here : Reacting to the video, a fan wrote in the comment section, “Love seeing the members being there for each other.” Even if it happened before, it's still hard for us to process this time too, and it is gonna happen 5 times more... It's hard What is the member that will be the hardest farewell for you? #Jin #JHope #military #BTS

- "Taxi Driver 2" Surpasses "The Glory" As Korea's Most Popular Drama! Here's Why!
South Korea has crowned a new king in the most popular drama series this year! The "taxi squad" made up of hilariously diverse characters has beaten the new global hit "The Glory" as Korea's most-watched drama series! Let's take a look at why this is! "Taxi Driver 2" was cited by the media outlet, Gallup Korea, as the top most-watched tv series drama! The survey was conducted on 1003 Korean individuals from ages 18 and older from April 17 - April 20, 2023. According to the survey results, "Taxi Driver 2" beat out "Mr. Trot 2" and Netflix's "The Glory" as the preferred program! On April 16, the day after the season 2 finale aired, the producer from the show announced that there will be a season 3! The season 2 finale earned higher viewership ratings than the season one finale! It also set a new record for the highest ratings achieved by a mini-series of 2023 so far! So why do Koreans prefer this light-hearted action series over the dark, brooding "The Glory"? We give you four reasons why! 1. Koreans love to laugh at slapstick comedy! It's hard to understand Korean humor sometimes. A little jab at someone's family could end up becoming something a lot more serious than intended. Therefore, stand-up comedy isn't very popular. Instead, shows like "Running Man" and "Great Escape" tend to do really well and run on for many seasons. "Taxi Driver 2" provides a lot of innocent, child-like humor that everyone can enjoy. Without the need to put other characters down. Very vanilla. 2. Every case is about two episodes long. The format for "Taxi Driver 2" is a lot different than that of "The Glory" . Each case that the "taxi squad" takes out lasts for only two episodes therefore the audience doesn't have to sit through the whole series to find out what happens. If you've never been to South Korea, Koreans have a "ppalli ppalli culture" ( 빨리빨리), which literally translates to "hurry hurry" or "quickly". Koreans have very little patience in their everyday lives, so concluding a case within two episodes or one week, is very convenient for the audience. 3. It is very easy to follow. Unlike "The Glory" , "Taxi Driver 2" is very linear in terms of the timeline and story. Sometimes, there are flashbacks to fill the audience in with background information, but for the most part, the audience doesn't have to do much thinking. "The Glory" , on the other hand, has a very complex and intricate storyline that spans over 15 years. It is engaging and takes more effort to focus on what is going on, making it more difficult for many Koreans to stay engaged for over an hour. 4. A sense of well-deserved justice. There have been many complaints about several scenes in "The Glory" including many of the bullying scenes where there is no filter or censorship making Koreans feel a little uncomfortable. Bullying is a big deal in South Korea, therefore, making the story a little too realistic for many viewers. "Taxi Driver 2" , on the other hand, takes care of the bad guys very cleanly and neatly, without showing the gory stuff. In addition, since "Taxi Driver 2" tends to be a little more fictional so it hits less close to home for many Koreans. So that's it for our reasons! Let us know if you agree or not! If not, let us know your reasons and if you're waiting for season 3! #taxidriver2 #theglorypart2 #theglory #leejehoon

- 5 Fantasy Boys On The Verge Of Going Home!
The last episode of Fantasy Boys showcased many issues behind each group's cohesion before their performance. Fans got to see their favorite fantasy boy's real characteristics and vote on their final visual performance as their "Fantasy Makers"! We break down the 5 Fantasy Boys with the most to lose after episode four! In order from the least risky to the most serious. 5. Yoo Jun Won Jun Won struggled with the "Avenger Boys", Deja Vu, as the top group of the show. Not the best visuals or strongest in singing, Jun Won didn't get any of the singing parts that he originally wanted. At the end of the week, Jun Won managed to improve his rapping skills and came away with four in the Fantasy Makers voting! We anticipate that as long as Jun Won continues with his strong work ethic, he will not have any problems staying on the show! 4. Hikari Hikari had a tough week as he premiered with the group Crown . During the week, he struggled with his singing skills but practiced non-stop. He actually turned out to be an excellent singer during their Fantasy Maker performance! We think that Hikari also has a good shot to stay on the show as he continues working hard on certain weaknesses such as his singing. 3. Kim Gyu Rae Gyu Rae had an emotional week which started roughly when he was given singing parts. He is a rapper first, and young, so adjusting to changes took some time as he practiced hard during the week! He killed it in the Fantasy Makers performance and missed first place by just two votes! We think that Gyo Rae has an excellent shot at staying on the show since he is so popular with the fans. As he continues to mature and grow as a performer, he will mentally get stronger and also take criticism better! 2. Kaedan Coming from the United States, Kaedan struggled with many issues including communication with his teammates. Being only 14 years old, Kaedan has a lot of maturing to go. Not fighting for parts in the song hurt him and also not taking the time to learn Korean also hurt his chances of being on the show. We think that Kaedan's attitude is the main reason that he might go home. His unwillingness to participate and learn Korean could hurt his chances of bonding with the rest of the boys and his career in Korea. What do you think? 1. Yaya Yaya showed the most concern this week with his inability to learn the choreography. His Korean pronunciation and speaking also hurt his chances of staying on the show. Yaya's facial expressions during the Fantasy Makers performance were lacking and unimpressive. Fellow countryman, Santa , also struggled to perform up to the "Korean audience's" expectations and dropped in the final visual votes. We expect Yaya will be one of the first boys to go home although being one of the most popular at the beginning of the show. Let us know if you agree with our list and our reasons! Who do you think will be the first to leave the show next episode? Please share your thoughts in the comments! #fantasyboys #YAYA #Kaedan #KIMGYURAE #HIKARI #YOOJUNWON
- Agust D Shatters All Expectations With Hard, Gritty "Haegeum"
K-pop, rap, hip-hop? These are the thoughts running through peoples' minds as they come across BTS 's SUGA 's , otherwise known by his alter ego Agust D , new hit single "Haegeum"! Let's dive in and see what made SUGA's first solo premiere a success! Intense, chaotic, grimy, and most of all, very manly. Those are the words to describe SUGA's new single "Haegeum" which was released on Friday, April 21 at 1 PM KST . Haeguem ( 해금) , if you didn't know, is a traditional Korean 2-stringed instrument played upright like a violin. It has a very distinct sound that isn't actually featured in the song! So why did SUGA decide to name the song "Haegeum"? It's because this song is different! The lyrics, and the meaning, are all very different from what is out there today. SUGA seems to want to portray a different persona through his new solo project as Agust D . The meaning of the song is pretty much to be careful of today's influx of information, greed, money, and "me me me" persona. "Haegeum" shows Agust D as both the villain and the hero as it seems like he is having trouble defining who he is or wants to be. The beat couldn't be harder as the audience can't help but bob their heads up and down to the thick bass with elements of trap. This is another type of K-pop folks! SUGA might have just changed the game with this song and we thank he for it! It was refreshing to see this side of SUGA as this song shows a darker, more intellectual personality. It makes the listener really think about what is going on in their very own lives as the rhythmic rapping skills of SUGA flow into their eardrums. Let us know if you also enjoyed this song as well! What's the next song you anticipate Agust D will drop next? Comment below! #아미가만날_디데이 #해금_다운후스밍해 #AgustD_Haeg #D_DayOUTTODAY #SUGA #AgustD #D_DAY
