BLACKPINK's Lisa delivered a softer and more artistic fashion moment at the 2026 Met Gala, stepping away from her usual bold red carpet style. She wore a custom gown created in collaboration with designer Robert Wun, which was designed to feel like a moving piece of sculpture. The outfit was inspired by this year’s theme, “Costume Art", and it focused on turning the human body into part of the design itself rather than just dressing it!
The gown featured flowing, delicate shapes that were built using 3D scans of Lisa’s own arms, making the piece highly personal. Robert Wun and his team used this technique to shape the structure of the outfit in a way that naturally followed her form. The final design also took inspiration from traditional Thai dance movements, especially the elegant hand positions and gestures, which added a graceful and cultural touch to the look. The result was a light, almost angelic silhouette that stood out for its softness and detail.
Even though Lisa has previously worn Robert Wun’s designs, this Met Gala was special because it was the first time the two met in person while working together. Their collaboration reflected a closer creative connection and brought a new level of detail to the outfit.
This year is also an important milestone for Lisa as she joined the Met Gala host committee for the first time. She had already attended the event in 2025, a year that was packed with major achievements, including her role in The White Lotus season three and her solo performance at Coachella. For that appearance, she wore a tailored Louis Vuitton suit designed around the theme “Tailored for You", styled with sheer tights and subtle branding details. That look highlighted her pop star energy while still fitting the event’s fashion focus.
