BTS' RM Just Won WHAT?! You Won't Believe His American Music Awards Title!

Dojeon Media has just snagged the latest scoop! ARMY, get ready to be excited as one of your favorite BTS members, RM, has just won an award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), one of the three mainstream music awards in the United States.
RM won the "K-pop Artist" category and rightly so! This category, however, is a fairly new one since the rise of K-pop has become a global phenomenon, and the category was created in 2022.
What has ARMY been saying on Social Media?
It was a tough gig this year for this new category, since K-pop has become so dominant in the global charts. RM, however, smashed his rivals and won against fellow BTS member Jimin, along with beating Stray Kids, ATEEZ, and BLACKPINK's Rose's "Apt". Which we think was worth the win.
Since RM will be reuniting with the rest of the BTS members very soon, this solo win also pays tribute to the hard work and success that he has gained as a solo artist. BTS has previously won several AMAs as a group, including Artist of the Year in 2021.
Our thoughts
The team at Dojeon Media agrees that this year's choices were very close, and each artist nominated in the "K-pop Artist" category was worthy of winning. However, what we believe gave RM the edge over his competitors is that his constant catchy lyrics and bubbly personality had won ARMY fans over, both here in Korea and overseas.
With the BTS reunion being long overdue, ARMY is pushing for the success of its members! And since RM has before taken on more of a leadership role within the group, this was his time for some much-deserved solo recognition!
