Byeon Woo-seok Confirmed as Sung Jinwoo

Netflix previously confirmed that Byeon Woo-seok will take on the role of Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of Solo Leveling.

The actor gained international popularity after Lovely Runner, becoming one of the most talked-about Korean stars of recent years. His casting immediately drew attention online, especially because many fans believe his visuals and tall frame match Jinwoo’s later transformation perfectly.

Sung Jinwoo begins the story as humanity’s weakest hunter before gaining mysterious powers after surviving a deadly dungeon incident. As the series progresses, he evolves into one of the strongest beings in existence.

Because the role demands both emotional depth and intense action scenes, fans are curious to see how Byeon Woo Seok handles the character’s dramatic evolution.

Han So-hee Cast as Cha Hae-in

Han So-hee has now officially joined the project as Cha Hae-in, one of the most beloved characters in the franchise.

Known for her performances in My Name, Nevertheless, and Gyeongseong Creature, Han So-hee already has strong experience with action-heavy roles. Many fans believe she is a natural fit for Cha Hae-in’s elegant but powerful personality.

Cha Hae-in is an elite S-rank hunter known for her incredible sword skills and calm demeanour. She also becomes one of the most emotionally important characters in Sung Jinwoo’s journey.

The pairing of Byeon Woo-seok and Han So-hee is already generating huge online buzz, with many viewers calling them one of the strongest visual pairings for a Korean live-action adaptation in recent years.

Kang You-seok and Kang Mi-na Also Join the Cast

The supporting lineup for Solo Leveling is also beginning to take shape.

Kang You-seok has reportedly been cast as Yoo Jinho, Sung Jinwoo’s loyal companion and one of the series’ fan-favorite characters.

Meanwhile, actress Kang Mi-na is also confirmed to join the Netflix series. However, her role has not yet been officially revealed.

With filming now underway, fans expect Netflix to announce more cast members over the coming months gradually.

Solo Leveling Live-Action Will Reportedly Have 7 Episodes

According to previous reports, the first season of Netflix’s live-action Solo Leveling series will consist of 7 episodes.

The production has reportedly already begun filming, though Netflix has not yet announced an official release date.

Considering how VFX-heavy the series will be, the post-production process may take significant time. The adaptation features large-scale dungeon battles, monsters, shadow soldiers, and supernatural action sequences that will require extensive CGI work.

At the moment, many fans expect the series to premiere sometime in 2027.

Fans Are Excited — But Expectations Are Extremely High

Adapting Solo Leveling into live-action was never going to be easy.

The original webtoon became famous not only for its storyline but also for its stunning visuals, fast-paced action, and cinematic battle sequences. Because of that, fans have extremely high expectations for Netflix’s adaptation.

Still, the confirmed cast has already given many viewers confidence in the project.

With Byeon Woo-seok leading the series as Sung Jinwoo, Han So-hee stepping into the role of Cha Hae-in, and filming officially underway, Netflix’s Solo Leveling adaptation is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated Korean series currently in production.
