According to a TikTok video, Andrew Alexander's followers have mentioned that he resembles the K-pop idol Jungkook, and ahead of the competition, he took the time to draw Jungkook's signature tattoo and add some piercings to walk away with the grand prize.

In a way, you can say Andrew has been prepping for this moment for a while now.

During the pandemic lockdown four years ago, Andrew’s sister did a comprehensive 11-minute on how she "Jungkook-fied" him.

Let's take a look at this video!

Fans have been quick to take to social media to express their opinions on the competition and the contestants. Let's take a look at what the fans have had to say!

It later become apparent that the look alike wannabe star was not even at the legal drinking age, nevertheless his long term fans stood by him and said that it was years in the making for him to get some recognition for his dedication.

That said, some people have taken to social media and at the event saying that his physical similarities might not be that obvious, although their mannerisms can be quite similar.

In a video posted before the winning announcement, Andrew's sister documented the competition and ironically the Jungkook lookalike contest participant as also registered as #7 a number which holds great emotional significance in the BTS fandom, given the groups member count.

Either way, this event drew huge crowds, and as a result made the event blow up on social media globally. We think that this keeps Jungkook relevant while he is absent from BTS and it also shows how dedicated ARMY fans really are. Will there be anymore BTS lookalike competitions in the future?
