They're not too subtle as they are caught watching Do Gyeong from afar and just when he gets close enough and draws the curtain to see who it is, they kiss! Of course, Gu Won brushes it off and says that it was to protect their faces from Noh Do Gyeong from seeing who they were, but we could tell that Do Do Hee was blushing and enjoyed it! We can't blame her! The kiss was sensual and we could feel the passion behind it! Oh, the feels! Haha! Push/Pull couple In Korea, there's a saying when couples can't decide whether they want to stay in a relationship or not. It called "mildang" ( 밀당 ). There is a power struggle between two people of the opposite sex. My Demon is pretty much the epitome of "mildang"! Just when things are going smoothly between Gu Won and Do Hee, the relationship hits a wall. When it is time for Gu Won to move his things into Do Hee's apartment, the two argue about how much stuff Gu Won has and ultimately, he is forced to sleep in his car, with all of his belongings. One-sided affair We finally get to see the gorgeous Jin Ga Young ( Cho Hye Joo Reborn Rich 2022), who also works at Sunwol Foundation with Gu Won and has a serious crush on him, and her relationship with Gu Won. We are offered a look into her troubled past, growing up with an abusive father who was a drunk and gambler. We now know why Ga Young is obsessed with Gu Won and why she is in love with him. Her father, like many others, made a contract with Gu Won to pay off his gambling debts 10 years prior and because his time was up, Gu Won approaches him, in front of Ga Young, and takes his soul. Desperate for an adult in her life, young Ga Young vows to find Gu Won and the rest is history! Singles Inferno is a South Korean reality dating show, that centers around some of South Korea's hottest singles and puts them on a deserted island referred to as "inferno" or in Korean "hell". Singles residing on the island have an opportunity to mingle with each other, compete in games to win specific perks, etc. While on the island the contestants are generally expected to cook for themselves and do their daily tasks, but if they can pair off with someone they have the opportunity to go to "paradise" and get to know that person more! While on the island the contestants are not allowed to share personal details about themselves e.g. age and occupation. This information can only be found out while in "paradise" on a date! And like most Korean shows, this one also has a panel to discuss the happenings on the show! What we know about Season 3! As we've told you, it comes out on December 12th ! Comments from the Western Audience As we've mentioned, the show is South Korean, and we at Dojeon Media are not all South Korean so our perspectives can be somewhat different and vary in some aspects, in this case, cultural differences. There has been a lot of stir about previous seasons and the upcoming one, especially from a foreign perspective. We have read mixed comments from viewers, some have said that the show is "boring" and that they (the contestants) wait till the last episode just to "hold hands" and that all the guys only go for the "boring girl who is the prettiest and palest". There have also been comments about the behavior of some of the men, for example in season one, one contestant who wouldn't tak e "no" for an answer. Generally, for Koreans, it was seen as persistent but from a Western perspective this was seen as "creepy". In our opinion we do like the difference in pace of the show, a lot of Western dating shows can sometimes come off as "trashy" or a little "rushed" in terms of physical intimacy, but we say each to their own! Korean Beauty Standards Again, with Korean beauty standards vs. Western, someone we could think is very handsome or beautiful may not be considered beautiful by Korean standards. It also seems there is a very specific personality type that is preferred by Koreans, for the men it's a woman who is pale, beautiful, has a small face, and is quite demure, and for the women it's someone "manly", handsome and has a good job. It is an interesting show to watch, even just to observe the differences in culture. Our personal favorite was season 1, but we have high hopes for this season too! If you have been watching one of the most popular K-dramas of this winter season, My Demon , then you will know not to take each episode for granted! We break down what happened in the latest episode and what made our hearts jump to our throats! Read on to find out what happened! *Spoilers! Just when we thought the relationship between Do Do Hee ( Kim You Jung 20th Century Girl 2022) and her supposed "bodyguard"/demon companion, Jeong Gu Won ( Song Kang Sweet Home 2020), starts to drift further apart, BANG! A cataclysmic event happens to draw them even closer! The two leads showed signs of irritability and hostility at the end of episode 5 and decided to move on with their lives, without each other. But, of course, this is a romance K-drama, so something MUST HAPPEN to bring them back together right? You bet! We find out that the stalker who scratches his neck at the end of episode 5 finds his way into Do Do Hee's home and attempts to kill her leaving us on a cliffhanger (quite literally!). Who is there to save her? Well, the start of episode 6 shows us that although Gu Won wants to live his own life without Do Hee, the fact that his powers and his tattoo are still on her arm and that whenever she is in danger, he will have to protect her! Racing to her home (recklessly, we don't promote dangerous driving, by the way) he saves her just in time as the bed sheet rips and he falls over the railing holding on to her. A new second lead male character emerges! Like all K-dramas, a new second male character emerges to fight Gu Won for the right to Do Hee's hand! Ju Seok Hoon ( Lee Sang Yi Bloodhounds 2023) emerges as Do Do Hee's longtime male friend and works for Mirae Group. He also rushes to Do Hee's house as soon as he learns Gu Won has just saved her from falling off of her apartment. Seok Hoon makes it clear to Gu Won, in a private conversation, that he is interested in Do Hee and that Gu Won should "back off" and tell him what is going on between them. Two proposals (at the same time!) In quite a hilarious twist, right after Gu Won saves Do Hee from falling, Seok Hoon steps aside to talk to her on her balcony asking her to open up and to lean on him for support. In the process, he proposes to her holding out his hand. Just then, Gu Won steps right next to Seok Hoon and offers his hand in marriage as well creating quite a scene as we burst out laughing! Who do you think she chose? Well, I think we can all agree she made the right decision! Do Do Hee finally realizes who wants her dead! As episode 6 comes to a close, Do Hee pieces the puzzle together as she finally realizes who her stalker has been all this time! There's too much work to be done as the two newlyweds tail one of Mirae Group's ownership members, Noh Do Gyeong! Suspicious enough, Do Gyeong always seems to be smirking or finding ways to do something evil to those around him! So let us know your thoughts about this episode!
