Bursting onto the bustling K-pop scene ten years ago was BLACKPINK. Since their debut a decade ago, they have truly changed the face of K-pop and elevated it into what is now a global phenomenon. These four forces of nature have proven that their "revolution" was never just a tagline. Let's check out some of their best hits over the past decade and what this really means for BLACKPINK's monumental 10th anniversary!

Global BLINKs have been using their fandom support to flood social media. From their trainee days all the way through to their most recent music, such as "JUMP," social media and blog sites have been going wild. For many BLINKs who have grown up with BLACKPINK over the past decade, remembering their early work and how it perhaps helped shape them is truly something to look back on, as it brings a nostalgic feeling. By organizing massive global streaming projects, BLINKs are making sure the world knows this milestone is a shared victory.

Over the past decade, BLACKPINK has not only become a global K-pop powerhouse, but they have also achieved tremendous success as individual artists. Without the formation of BLACKPINK, this perhaps might have remained just a dream. By surviving in such a saturated and often unfair industry, BLACKPINK have proved their star power and irreplaceable presence while helping to bridge cultural gaps through their music.

This 2016 hit was a no-brainer when it came to adding it as number one. This track really was an explosive debut into the K-pop scene. Not only did it help break down cultural barriers, but it also showcased their signature high-energy dance routines and sound that have helped shape their career to date.

This 2017 retro-style track showcased BLACKPINK's fierce, independent attitude, and through their superb dance routines and vocals, it became the summer track of 2017. For many of us, it was a track that we simply could not stop playing.

This track really is one of our favourites, and it has remained a favourite to this day. Released in 2018, this powerhouse hit crossed international borders and rocketed BLACKPINK into global fame, thanks to its infectious finger-gun dance routines.

This 2019 track had one of BLACKPINK's biggest production budgets. Thanks to this, the brass-heavy track dominated global charts. Not only that, but it also enabled BLACKPINK to perform at Coachella and make their major debut to a U.S. fanbase.

This 2020 hit helped many BLINKs globally get through the difficult era of COVID-19. This anthem showcased resilience through its upbeat and catchy sound. The track also featured elements of traditional Korean music alongside the club drop that many of us love.

Thanks to this, the song shattered multiple YouTube premiere records upon release, and it remains one of their most loved tracks.

Fast forward to 2020, and this era became a little more emotional, helping us understand a more real and personal side of the members. This era was all about electro-pop and guitars. It helped us connect with the members through their songwriting style and vocals on a much more stripped-back level than ever before.

Then came "Pink Venom." Although this track featured a modern hip-hop production, it was infused with the traditional Korean geomungo. Thanks to this musical blend, it created a hypnotic beat that topped global charts as soon as it was released.

2022 marked a more classical era in BLACKPINK's rise to global dominance. Powered by classical violins and a darker hip-hop bounce, this track celebrated their global status. Could this have been the moment that BLACKPINK finally realized they had become global megastars?

Another different era for BLACKPINK. As soon as this track dropped as a surprise pre-release single ahead of their Deadline era, it marked their triumphant full-group return to the charts after a long hiatus and immediately took over the Billboard Global 200.

The track also became a summer anthem and one that we are sure will remain on playlists throughout the year.

On to their most recent hit, "GO." This track serves as the title track for their third mini-album, Deadline. It is all about bringing their signature style and artistic dance routines into a grand-scale global production. Will this track feature on many summer 2026 playlists?

Final Thoughts

For the team here at Dojeon Media, we have really come to love BLACKPINK over the past decade. One thing is clear: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa didn't just climb the music charts—they completely rewrote the rules of engagement for global pop stars. They have influenced countless K-pop fans and helped shape the industry for the better, and we cannot wait to see what else they bring in the years ahead.
